This episode is enough reason to shut down PETA. Superhuman ABUSE. The White Lion looking motherfucker is Battle-Beast. Apparently he is the third strongest character in the comic. If you pay close attention, Mark was taking no noticeable damage from the attacks until Battle-Beast ran his fade. He was the only one to draw blood (a fucking lot of it) from Mark. Also, I think Viltrumites are like Freiza's race. Innately strong, fast, and tough relative to their strength. But most importantly, capable of surviving grievous injuries. Omni-man didn't seem at all worried that he was in a coma. Even when he was taking damage fighting the guardians his injuries weren't slowing him down. Most attacks didn't even flinch him. And he didn't bother stepping in to save Mark this time. So, yeah.
