Lmao hate to bring in these facts but in America you can marry your second cousin. But you can still marry your first in half the states. So about 20 or 30 states. That was just to shock anyone reading. The truth about Japan is the birth rates are in such decline it's very common they'll marry or even be put into arrange marriages (which aren't too common anymore in Japan but still exist) with cousins. Unlike America where it's just legal, it's actually legal and accepted in Japan.
