The maid cafe ep was indeed in the manga and was just kinda a insight on Midori and her character.

Jerrid Jackson

nigga said ughhh like that bitch had aids when he tasted her blood lol

Raiden

The blood taste was because he hadn't actually consumed blood before. Also, there'll be 13 episodes total.

Just Another Josh

I actually forgot just how soon they introduced the detective. She’s absolutely the most interesting character in the show and everything escalates so much more rapidly after she joins the story. There’s a ton of really good arcs coming in the future, although it sucks there’s so few episodes left in this season.

関口信玄

The art direction in this episode was epic af. They get really creative with the filters in this anime. Also, "It's not sketchy at all" as they show a very obvious phallic object. XD

Oooo, Daki's VA playing the detective. Nice. And I don't THINK the detective really meant the stuff about him hitting on her. I think she was just fuckin with him and teasing.

So, my guess is, judging from the visual cue, facial expression, the fact that they're kids, and just the unusual situation as a whole..... they were just standing there because they were confused and in shock, and probably also frozen with fear (which is a thing btw). Do you remember that thing Senku mentioned in Dr. STONE when they were attacking Tsukasa's hideout, that there's a certain timeframe in which people don't react right away? Probably something along those lines. Also, I highly doubt at any point, the characters would've been like, "Okay Javon! We heard you! We're gonna run now!" XD
