Just Another Josh

Can’t wait to watch you all react to this as soon as I get off work. I’m absolutely loving seeing this show get the hype it deserves. Especially when the studio is so obviously passionate about doing this right. I’ve been a huge fan of this series ever since it got the Next Manga Award in 2021 and it’s consistently stayed near the top of my all time favorite manga. The good news is that this is as sad as the series goes, it never hits this same level of pain. The better news is that instead gets shifted to just incredible drama. It becomes an incredibly detailed dive into the often twisted world of entertainment, while also quietly keeping that revenge story in the back and influencing every following story beat. Also, this and the next season are incredible for me personally as I’m suddenly getting adaptations of some of my all time favorite manga. Including, most surprisingly, Helck next season. That’s a SUPER underrated manga I never expected to get an anime. So I’m currently living the best timeline.

Just want to mention, author is on recorded saying it takes place in the Kaguya universe and there are definite ties and links between the two

Taylor’s face was enough; you know he was sick to see that in front of the baby's man; that hurt more than anything

Aka Akasaka is really special and really doesn’t have anyone doing what he does quite the way he does it! Kaguya Sama and Oshi no Ko under his belt. Part of what makes kaguya an all time fave for me is how he can juggle multiple genres within one show and it works and is seamless. & even with Kaguya the way he addresses mental health shows a deep understanding of people and the commentary Oshi No Ko has on parasocial relationships & how performers are even dehumanized and seen like toys that exist for the consumption of their audience... Perfect. Another reason I’m excited for the next kaguya season bc the material covered definitely touches on what characters are experiencing mentally which we haven’t seen in a while on the show!

Im subscribed to 3 anime reactors. Each of yall did oshi no ko. So by the end of this week I will have seen the episode 4 times counting my 1st watching it myself. Damn.

yorozuya3835

fun fact the voice actor of megumin also voice AI. Rie takashi is the GOAT for her vocal range.

sherm.....i said it in my tweet earlier but this shows got me hooked im excited for how this revenge play story gonna go! stay posted brotha we out for blood!

Raiden

Considering the author's work before Kaguya, I would say Oshi no Ko is more his speed and Kaguya is the outlier, on the surface atleast.

wavyesper

Let me tell u Sherm I’ve been reading Oshi no Ko for over 2 years since it was still in its early stages and Aka(author of this and love is war) went batshit crazy bro, this is hands down one of the best new gens, it will not hold back at all with the pain and depression

Ara Araragi

Kana doesn't have the same voice actress as Beako, but we do get a Re:Zero reunion of Emilia (Ai) and Puck (Aqua). Aqua's voice actress also plays Rudeus.

Daisuke_Takahiro

You guy finally joined the House of Pain that this anime is causing everyone.

cobra93stang

This shit still hit, even after 4 or 5 times seeing the scene

Juju

The convo at 1:05:30 was mad funny, Sherm had Taylor lost 💀

関口信玄

You should definitely peep the music video for the op song (which you hear at the ending credits of this episode). The visuals aren't the actual op (at least I don't think so), but it really just covers the first episode, so no worries about spoilers.

関口信玄

I'm sure Taylor knows it's not actually in isekai because there isn't another world involved.

Ram Femboy

bro holy shit i came into this expecting it to be mid isekai but those last minutes made me get fucking hyped!!

toeppoki supremacy

I know the auther's first manga, Ib bullet. It's also a dark manga. Honestly, between Ib bullet, Kaguya sama and Oshi no ko, Kaguya sama is the odd one out.

Smeyton

haven't watched in a while this new editing is fire as hell

banden☔

man this episode was amazing. idk what it is with me and sappy bench scenes but that scene with the director and aqua talking on that bench about what makes an actor.. touched me. that's a real dude right there I'm glad aqua asked him to raise him.

been repeating this... you know its good when taylor says "wtf are we doing here" in any animes theyve reacted to, including this one 🤧
