just a small clarification, the lawyer isn't the officer's "brother" per se, his wife just said that he's "like" a big brother to him, but he's officially more of a long-time family friend and/or business associate, which kind of explains why she was so comfortable with him just coming in the house the way he did since they've seemingly been pretty close since they were younger
