naofumi need a chef in his village who can cook food and teach others

I feel like the author just threw darts at a board of sub plots to waste time until the Phoenix happens just so the pacing didn't seem too fast because I've got no clue what we're doing anymore

Nah, it's not Senku's voice actor. Most recently I think you heard him (Naofumi's VA) in MASHLE as Lance Crown (light blue hair, gravity magic). He's also Tenya Iida in MHA, Genos in OPM, and Sakuta in Bunny Girl Senpai.

Ren didn't say "what do you want" in a bad way or anything. You gotta listen for the tone of voice, it definitely wasn't an attitude. I agree about the dragon CGI, though. Remember when MADHOUSE gave us a fully-drawn full-grown dragon in Frieren? And a whole battle against it on top of that? This is an adolescent dragon at least half its size. I usually don't say shit like this, but that's just lazy animating at this point. They're on the complete other extreme of the spectrum from MAPPA, they're UNDERworking. Lowkey hoping this gets polished in the next episode, and it was just "throw this in at the end of the episode" kinda thing, but I'm skeptical.

Damn, they need a new animation director because this animation is all OVER the place lmao. Odd cuts, movement doesn't feel natural, smh
