The reason at the start Enkidu turned to dirt is because, Ishtar asked for Gil’s hand in marriage, but she’s a hoe so Gil rejected her. She went back to her dad and begged him to unleash the Bull of Heaven. Enkidu and Gil destroyed the Bull(mentioned in ep 6 of strange fake). Ishtar baby rages again and begs the gods to kill them both. But they only kill Enkidu since he was made by them and he returns to clay.

Yeah she is a real Bitch. I will always hate the real her. The one possessing Rin does not fully count to me as it is not really the goddess Ishtar. Its no surprise why Ereshkigal speared her to death that one time.
