So i took this old gun model and played with Blender's "Freestyle" attribute for about 4 hours. After fixing geometry and placing edge marks for what seemed like for-fucking-ever, I got this!

I can see this being used in the future, easily. And if you wanna try this yourself, the main takeaway here is to place edge marks! Don't trust the automated crease lines.
