Background: Cursed (Patreon)

Sometimes a character is just cursed by the universe, or karma, or fate, or life itself. That character knows this, and really doesn't have much choice in the matter beyond how they deal with the consequences.

I realized I hadn't written up a new background in a very long time, so I jumped to my to-do/ideas list where I knew there were a few written down.

A cursed character could be played as a Debbie Downer, as someone resigned to their fate, or even as someone dedicated to making life better for everyone else in the world. What matters is how the character responds to the universe being against them.
