Monster: Kalkúnsdraugur (a holiday creation) (Patreon)

The idea for this undead being came to mind when disposing of the picked-over bones of a roasted turkey on Thanksgiving night.

I'm posting this one right away for everyone to use just because I find it amusing.

Updated Nov. 11, 2025: Found/fixed an incorrect word in the description text, then added the illustration I made for The Amethyst Dragon's Hoard of Everything (where this shows up on page 527).

Updated Nov. 25, 2023: I was informed that the name for this as I originally had it meant "Turkish ghost" in Icelandic, and I was given the correct naming for "turkey ghost", which you see here now. Credit for this goes to Reddit user u/Numi24 (I'll correct this if they decide to tell me a different name they want credited).
