Bagel-Man

Excited to watch Professor!

Lee Dunning

Oh, man, these would make great Christmas and birthday gifts. Thanks, Professor, I'm definitely building a couple of these for my friends. I'd love to see more videos in a similar vein. I'm sorry the videos are so time-consuming, but they are truly inspiring.

Keith

Love these crafting videos!

Eric Mason

Looks very nice :) For all that it is fiddly, I greatly apricate it that you take the time for crafting videos occasionally. As far as I can tell, the idea of the timbers being significantly proud of the daub is a product of looking at models where the false timbers are glued on. When you look at the surviving buildings, the daub is pretty much level with the timbers. Which makes sense, as you want the wall as thick and insulating as possible. The wood is the expensive part, why waste it if you're not going to fill it in all the way. It does make for a weird decision of do I carve away some of the foam because that's what people expect, or follow the example of extant structures and if anyone asks let them know why.

GM James

1) Love the terrain! This gives me a bunch of awesome ideas for how to up my game! 2) That outro! Fantastic!

Flash Gorgon

Cringiest Deathbringer outro ever.

Steven Bogart

Very interesting video. Thanks for sharing tips and details. I saw Hamilton on Broadway and it was amazing -- can't wait for the full-length Deathbringer version. Deathbringer would make a fine Big Jule in Guys & Dolls, the tough whose dice no longer have spots -- but Big Jule remembers where they were and he'll tell you the results.

samurguybri

This is so awesome! I see what you don’t do to many of them. You combination of using the minis with adaveture details and tips, like the Lost City, seems to be even more in your niche. I love the last few DB outros! I would love to see a quick video on using UDT for the outside or in caverns., something with an odd scale or irregular terrain Thanks for all you do. I really love it and it’s inspiring

Anthony Johnston

Great video. Definitely more Ultimate items like walls, wilderness, or inside tavern. Deathbringer is the star......as he should be! :) Built 3 UDTs so far from scratch, 4th is gonna be the biggest yet at 24" to fit an Etsy UDT mat I found. Thx for all the great DMing and Hobby videos, PDM.

NØKKEN_WAITS

A really, really neat way to add to the story world while giving yourself a nice little GM screen. Looks like a super fun project. I JUST finished my UDT and I am SO stoked to try it out for this shadowdark one-shot i have coming up on friday. I dug out some old paizo dry erase maps that i used and cut into circles. The goal was to be able to draw with my dry erase markers on the UDT itself. Gotta be able to travel light! Thanks for the inspiration and your awesome insights into this wonderful hobby.

Mike Butts

I don't think players realize how much time it takes to make terrain for them. Great video.

Mordencai

Love Deathbringer's singing! Perfect backdrop for city and dungeon. Would love to see the tavern DM screen being built! Great Work PDM! Great video! Just bought my lazy susan for my UDT build :)

B.R.

excellent vid and excellent DM screen

Jethro

Great vid, love the crafting you do.

Matthew Crismali

Definitely one of your best videos ever 😁👍

Dean N Rogers

This was great. More, please. Dungeon, Caverns, Wilderness,...

Firstspear

PDM has unlocked a new achievement!! Master Craftsman!!

Very inspired work like your UDT. You must’ve taken some theatre courses in the past as a lot of your work seems to stem from theatre, whether it be stage props or even your roleplay characters.

Justin Watson

I tend to have a lot of natural exteriors in my campaigns, forests, swamps, waterfronts, cliff faces, etc. I don’t know that it would be worth a whole video of your time but if you’ve done any UDT with wilderness settings in mind, seeing those and getting a little bit of commentary on techniques for them (if they differ much) would be cool,

Joshua Slavin

Great vid Professor! I’ve made several extra large UDT discs including the sewers, now to make several UDMS to fit. Urban, dungeon, under city/sewers, caves, ruins, wildernesses. The mind whirls at the set design possibilities. I wonder if the community, you and/or some other content creators could collaborate to expand on this idea or its modularity. Drop a smaller 3-5 panel section in front of Ultimate Dungeon Screen (dungeon) to make castle gatehouse screen. That sort of thing.

Josh Hemmersbach

Awesome! Terrain crafted for the UDT is exactly what I'd like to see more of.

Justin Watson

“Two things have been in every inn in the realm, Skai Maestroson and Iomedae’s Codex.”

MrGunn

Dear PDM: Love this! Thanks, a great idea and a great video,. UDT is one of the greatest tools for RPGs since the invention of the icosahedron, this only makes it more useful. This screams out for an STL file. Best, MrGunn

MrGunn

@Anthony Johnston Yeah GripMats on Etsy has some great 24" vinyl UDT, I own several.

MrGunn

@NOKKEN_WAITS Love your idea, I have some clear vinyl mats I can put down over my UDT so I can use eraseable pens.

MrGunn

@Mike Butts Players really are the worst, aren't they... LOL

Dave Walker

I know it takes time, but your crafting videos are a lot of fun to watch and give great ideas ... I've created 10 2 sided UDT for different terrain types ... I'm an addict

Joshua Slavin

I’m curious of the ten types of terrain, what’s in the list and what do you use most often (top 3 or 4)?

Dave Walker

Let's see: Forest grid / no grid Sewer dungeon grid Indoor / red tile grid Swamp Ice zones Cavern zone Desert zone / grid Ocean Egyptian Temple flooring Roman tile flooring with center Mosaic All back sides not mentioned are similar color scheme in grids

Dave Walker

I tend to us a 3d print wall scheme I found online (dungeon sticks) that are half height walls so the players can see their minis along with the layout of the various rooms / areas to give a little better feel for the scenes where possible

Bill Carroll

If you ever write a Hamilton module I will run it at cons and that is a promise

Megatron

This is so great!!! Well done!!!
