Got me a new audio book. Thanks DungeonCraft!

BrianV

Wow really profound. I will definitely pick up that book. Thank you

Looking forward to the series! Thanks!

Jason Scranton

I could not agree more with this! It's to bad the comedy one is lost.

Robert Crawford

Book bought. Thank you for the recommendation

Older Cloud

Thanks! The best sessions I’ve run have consistently been narrative-driven.

Jay

Exactly why I signed up. I will find an audio copy of the book. An elegant way of articulating the chaos of what many struggle with in defining their own perspective of what the RPG experience will be in their game. A balance of story telling and game mechanics with potential for greater emphasis on one or the other.

Martin

Agree with your scale. Im on the right side all the way.

Older Cloud

I think we could expand this list to include The Hero With A Thousand Faces.

GREAT book! I LOVE watching those old interviews with Campbell for PBS. It drives my family nuts because I never watch TV and I'll watch those for hours.

Just new to the Patreon, very excited to dive into everything! 100% agree with your statement that the best adventures are made for the characters the players are running. It may at times seem a little forced or lucky, that this particular character was here at this moment, but I think it adds to the “magic” of the would be heroes. Furthermore, when the adventures become more personally driven, involving characters’ loved ones, homelands, life goals, and etc., it ideally helps the players to feel more emotionally involved which helps the role playing immensely, thereby improving the story and then the game.

"... and very few cuts". (immediately cuts) :)

Now that you've completed, or not, Deathbringer Rules where would you rate it on you chart, Game to Story?

Evil Chad

OK, this is what I was looking for.
