Great video, fantastic tips. Love your minimalist approach with the backpack. Highly recommend you use Instacart, Shipt, or Postmates for grocery and other deliveries.

I’ve only went to one gaming convention. My wife and I spent the entire time in seminars at Paizo Con in Redlands Wa. We flew up there brought a bunch of Swag back. What’s the best way to bring it back home if flying and what Booths give out the best free swag at Gen Con.

This is exactly the info I have been looking for! Even the Gen Con organizers could not advise me along these lines in terms of how to set up for pickup games, and your tips on getting decent meals, Aspirin, and bathrooms -- as well as the general layout of the whole Con -- provide the perfect primer on conquering this Event. Loved seeing your gear and packing tips! Thanks a million, PDM!!!

Yes, I will be there at Baldman Games, again, running D&D Experience Dreams of the Red Wizards games. It is in the JW Marriott. From the lobby go up the escalator and take a right and we are down there on the right. From what I remember last time. The Hampton is on the other side of the Stadium down that warehouse road but they seriously triple the pricing on the rooms which I believe in my realm we call, "price gouging!". Ahem. I hope to see you and as many people as possible but probably will not see anyone as I generally run every single slot. Phew.

Pack a duffle bag IN your regular bag. There's a YouTube channel I watch called "The Bond Experience"--it's about living a James Bond lifestyle. Dave Ziritsky has lots of videos about how to pack like Bond--efficiently and only with carry-ons. Best swag? I dunno. They don't give away too much.
