Ultimate Game Table?.mp4

We’ve got a Uniquely Geek gaming table and really like it. The main addition that your guys have that I like is that 12” platform. We have clip on smaller tables which help. The wife and I really like how I looks like a regular table for dinners and such, then converts. This one here is themed very well for like an actual game room or something. We lost our previous hose in a fire, so wanted to treat ourselves when buying a table for the new house. Without insurance, i don’t think we’d be able to afford one.

I like the idea of not having a screen and being closer to the players. I am also a minimalist, but I'm a DIYer and I've noticed quite a few really neat You Tube videos on building your own gaming tables. One or two of them have the recessed areas for the game master. There are a lot of neat ideas in these videos and if you like to DIY, the cost goes from thousands of clams to only hundreds of clams for a table. There is one in particular that explains how to dry the wood before you start construction. (Very important!) You do need a few tools, but, as I keep telling my husband... those are investments.

I'm used to playing DnD at a pub, but why not bring the pub to you! Haha, looks awesome!

Awesome table, if only these sorts of things were around back when I had the space and money! Always been pretty minimalist, and I have to admit I do like a screen (easier to keep notes visible only to me, without continued lookup in a binder or what-have-you).

Both of us have had a few stitches and immobilizers over the years, but we haven't lost a digit... yet. We're currently in the last steps of a year long deck rebuild. We're adding a roof so I'm feeling more confident in our abilities, but a table with so many pieces and moving parts requires a lot of precision. We took Twilight Imperium (3rd) to the furniture store with us when we bought our dining table, so we're pretty much set for a gaming table.

Are you saying you couldn’t use enough blue foam, mod podge, folk art acrylic paint, tin foil, and hot glue to make the greatest gaming table of all time?

W Nash

I think that was meant for PDM? I'm just getting started with foam and I'm not very good at it.

Graham Kane

Well at least you don't need a table saw to cut the foam. I ended up with a stitches in my thumb last summer from a table saw accident while making some dice trays!

Graham Kane

It's an awesome table! If only I had the room..... Big respect to PDM for helping to get them some exposure.

Table saws are scary. The worst accident we've had was when my husband cut his finger on the router. Seventeen stiches from his last knuckle to the end of his finger. (He didn't believe in push sticks, but he does now.) I still think a table saw would be much worse.
