Is it easy to use? Is it going to be an overall good for the hobby? How will homebrew work with it?

If they make a highly modifiable (almost certainly not) and flexible tabletop with lots of built-in assets and the ability to import user-created assets/etc. - this could be great. I fear they will tie it so closely to D&D that I'd have to have multiple VTTs to cover anything other game/system.

Will there be adjustments available for house rules? Are there functions for a DM to "suspend" certain rules ie movement speed for the sake of the "rule of cool"?

Stranger Danger little Danny Master's. DO NOT get in that WotC VTT, that 'nice man' does not actually have any delicious healing potions to drink or Hell Hound puppies for you to play with. Just like marriage Danny, that WotC man will just sucker you in with false promises and leave you with an empty wallet and a broken heart full of cold unfulfilled promises.

Question - We know you and others enjoy theater of the mind - is the VTT too exact/literal? I know sometimes you use minis, but it seems the VTT as they see it might be 'too much' of the picture, so one may not think beyond it. Hope that makes sense

How much is the monthly/yearly subscription? Will microtransactions be allowed (encouraged) that break gameplay, or limited to just cosmetic changes for PCs?
