Well I am furious. On my end, I went in to the green room and started the stream as I always do. It thought it was weird that NO ONE was in the chat. Come to find out that a bunch of my patrons were waiting for an hour watching...NOTHING. I can;'t tell you how upset I am at Crowdcast. So this is what I am going to do.

On Saturday afternoon, we'll do this again. Probably on the Discord. And EVERY patron and ALL tiers can join me. In the meantime, I'll investigate what went wrong. The good news I didn't get much crafting done. So I'll make the stream 2 hours of so. The light will be better anyway,.

Sorry again. I am determined to correct the situation. Thanks for your patience.

Ok. So I logged into Crowdcast to see if anything showed and this is what I found. The Stream for today obviously wasn't working so then I clicked on Dungeon Craft and the Joined Events. The Event for Today was listed as Thu, Feb 29, 2024 5:00 PM yet the last Crowed Cast Stream is listed as exactly the same time and date and it plays just fine yet the date and time is not correct. I'm wondering if the issue is you had two Crowd Cast streams with the same time and date and this created todays debacle. Anyway, I hope this helps in some way.

Well the upshot is I may get to join the livestream on Saturday afternoon. But this was beyond your control. Don’t sweat it.

I was so triggered PDM, your absence made me relive all my GenX latch key kid abandonment issues, waiting on my stoop for my parents to get home. I waited TWO HOURS Dad, sitting on the Crowdcast porch waiting for you to come home. Waaaaaaghhh! :D :D :D No worries sir! Next time.

I wondered if PDM started a separate instance of Crowdcast. It is a terrible platform IHMO. When I try to log in from the event using the Patreon choice, keeps coming back to the login screen. Last time I had to use the side menu with three stacked lines _ aka the hamburger to sign in. Wish there were a better way. :(

Hi PDM, if I may ask, Why don't stream on YouTube?, marking the stream as private and leaving the video as unlisted, that way you can share the link in a patreon post but it will not appear in your YouTube channel

Daniel Defazio

Good question. Because it's confusing to me. Regular videos, streams, and shorts get dumped into the same stream and compared with one another. Streaming and shorts can actually HURT a channel.
