Idea: Commission slots? (Patreon)
Content
$85: (3 available) Pinup Pose Sketch.
$100 (2 available) Lineart Character Drawing.
$300 (1 available) Full color illustration.
Pinup Pose Sketch: Each backer would choose one character from the series, and we'd draw a tasteful (but sexy) pinup sketch of that character. Posing, scenario, and particulars are up to us. This type of art seems really popular in the art accounts, and it's fun to make, so I think it'd just be a good time all 'round. It would be pencil art, and we'd mail that backer the original pencils.
Lineart Character: At this level the backer can choose an original character of their own, in a pose of their choice, and we'll do a pencil drawing of that single character. No backgrounds, original pencils mailed to the backer.
Full Color Illustration: At this level, it's a full-on color commission with crazy backgrounds and whatever else the backer would like. Original pencils mailed to the backer.
Limitations:
I may not offer these commission slots *every* month, some months I might turn them off if we're too busy. It's also possible prices may rise.
Rating: Storyline Dreamkeepers characters are depicted within the general rating level and spirit of the series. So no hardcore Mace on Bast action, sorry! But if it's an illustration that doesn't involve any DK cast, we're pretty open. If you're uncertain of a particular idea, feel free to message and ask in advance.
Timing: We'd get rolling after the monthly payment goes through, and have your piece done within a month.
Redos: Nope. Pinups we determine the details- and for the Lineart and Color Illustration slots, the backer provides a one-page description and up to two image references, and we'll match their vision to the best of our ability- but we can't get lost in endless re-imaginings.
We plan to share digital copies of the art here and maybe in the outside accounts if there's time to post everywhere.
So, that's the tentative idea. What do you guys think?
I'm also giving the people in our Big Commission Queue the chance to exchange their slot for one of the $100 drawings here. (Those lucky devils have full color illustrations reserved for our 2011 prices, but I want to at least give them the chance to switch out if they prefer.)
If everything seems good after sounding out this idea, I'll probably add those slots to Patreon next week and see how it goes.
