This week's Chapter 13 update- where Kalei appears a bit untethered, and Namah tries explaining things to Bast.

Thanks for backing the saga, more in the works!

Poor Namah so close, though this could count as a ship tease moment between them. Also guess this means Mace has left and nobody seems to care, I mean Namah refers to him as a idiot and Bast is angry at him. Well still angry at him, which is odd. Thought he wanted Mace gone, what is he blaming Mace for what happened to Lilith now ?

Lord Kiyo

He blaming Mace now? kinda strange. How long have they been there? Surprised Kalei is already strapped up and using guns.

Garrett Simpson

I could say something about the cute Namah faces, but “finely honed idiot detector”? Are you writing her to be the quotable character or something??? Because her dialogue is brilliant!

BarbadosSlim

Oh, that's how you pronounce Kalei. I thought it was kuh-LAY.

Insomni-act

Happy to know I've been pronouncing "Kalei" right this entire time. Now what about Nabonidus?

BarbadosSlim

I think Bast is just aware of how Mace tends to hover around Lilith and noticed him not being around during her collapse. He senses Mace is up to some shenanigans.

Benjamin Varner

At first, I thought that Bast was aware of Mace's feelings for lilith and that he was angry because a person who also loved lilith wasn't present for her. But then it seems rather that Bast hated that Mace wasn't around so that he could support her with him and Namah as a full team. Either way, I'm probably expecting too much out of Bast right now but, anyways, SO IT WAS KAY-LEE THIS WHOLE TIME!!!! AND HERE I WAS PRONOUNCING IT "CAL-LAY" LMAO XD

KALEI IS HERE! I AM SO HAPPY!

Airvynk

So much great stuff happens on this page. Love rectangle is getting stronger, Kalei finaly turned into Lara Croft/Sarah Connor, Mace is off to Lagos (?). And Kalei is K-Lee? I can live with that.

Airvynk

BTW, what happened to this shooting range? The wall looks like a giant monster bit off a good chunk of it. Did the targets shoot back? Accident? Involving Vi and Karo?

Ebon_Sean

I only knew because I went to school with a girl with that name

Airvynk

Kalei is the coolest looking action-movie-type female character in the comic (sorry Vi). I wonder when she gets a short haircut. Vi is also amazing, but she is more masculine. Reminds me of Vasquez from "Aliens", who also adores big guns and shooting monsters.

I also like Kalei. I've been infatuated with her ever since looking at her in the main cast for the first time.

McClaw

She has an idiot detection sense that was finely honed in the environment she grew up in. I bet Tinsel set it off all the time.

Garrett Simpson

Probably more with the Viscount,Tinsel didn’t do her any favors, but prior to trying to be killed I could see there being a begrudging respect of sorts of someone who had honed her guile so well

MC

It’s very sweet that Namah is trying to reveal her crush on Bast and comfort him about his guilt about Lilith draining herself to heal him. Then it turns funny when Bast change the topic to Mace and Namah mentions her idiot detector...while looking at Bast.
