Well, this film took me by complete surprise. The social commentary was really something in this film. We are dealing with racism, harmful stereotypes and sweeping generalisations of communities that can be harmful. Very good stuff and important lessons not just for kids to learn, but adutls too. Plus, the jokes and puns were STELLAR which helped to balance the tone rather perfectly I felt. Great movie!!

This is one of my guilty pleasures. I love the little details and jokes. in germany its "Zoomania". In Europe and America the news anchor is a moose. In other countries like Japan, China, Australia and Brazil its a tanuki, panda, koala or jaguar. btw Chief Bogo is a water buffalo and they are prey too ;)

A lot of people see Judy being put on parking duty as mean, as if Chief Bogo was being sexist or a bigot but he wasn’t… she’s literally there on her FIRST day!! She’s a rookie! She has no experience on the field or anything! Obviously they’re going to give her easier jobs while they’re training her! I think it’s interesting that everyone always saw her being a metermaid as demeaning but they forget, she’s a rookie 😭

the police force had quite a few prey and non predator animals, buffalo, rams, rhinos, elephants and technically hippo cause they don't hunt but are omnivours and one of the most dangerous animals, crocodiles are afraid to approach them.

this is such a solid movie for SO many reasons. as a Disney film it shines in its world building and its character acting of course, but the social commentary is so well done. the fact that Judy, as our main protagonist, strives to be the bigger person (bigger bunny?) and not someone who makes assumptions like her parents, but still has unconscious biases that she has to ultimately address and come to terms with like the reflex of reaching for the fox spray or referring to the savage predators as “them”, presents the issues that are so prevalent in society in a way that is both digestible but also realistic to what each and every person goes through. We all have inherent biases and even though it can be easier to just ignore them and give up the fight, the better thing to do is to recognize your own shortcomings and your own ignorance and fight to do better because that is what can inspire others to do the same. Judy coming to those realizations and choosing to continue to work in what she now knows is a flawed system because she sees that if change is going to happen, she has to show up is such a great reflection of the resilience of people in our society who do constantly choose to do better and be better, even when it isn’t easy.

I loved this movie so much, firstly for the dynamic of Nick and Judy because they were incredible and Nick is so hot, but then also because of the way they approach so many real life situations. So many times I have been told to go back to my own country when I was born in fricking Britain like mate? And another thing those people who say that from America and Canada do realise its stolen land? There are so many things people can say to each other that doesn't need to be said. it's all a superiority complex. This show actually shows how it can be prejudice from both sides predator and prey being the bully. It's like a big, why can't we all just get off our high horses and get along and judge people for what they do and not for what they are. were all innocent until proven guilty. Unless and until we do something bad, we can be treated equally.

I remember reading somewhere that Judy being put on parking duty makes sense, since she's a new hire, that just moved to the city from a small town. Parking duty is a relatively low risk job that also lets her get a layout of the city and familiarize herself with the city's flow and districts. Kind of how a lot of entry level jobs have new hires clean or organize before getting to work on more hands on stuff.

I interpreted a lot of discrimination Judy faced as being similar to Misogyny. She couldn’t be a good cop, she was constantly underestimated and defined by her “cuteness”. And then the discrimination of foxes and animals form the “predator” family being racism. I’m sure I’m looking far too much into because it’s a Disney film but I feel like the dynamics kind of felt like showing how a white woman faces oppression but that they themselves can often be racist

I would love to see you react to the movie Wish from Disney! Allot of people weren't positive about this movie but it is very much underrated! It tackles really important subjects and commentary on today's society and like in this movie the power of everyone coming together.
