Thans for the reaction! Namie Amuro is THE boss. She started her career at 15, got married, had a kid, continued to rule until she decided to retire at 41 (and she left on a high note). I don't know many Katy Perry songs, but Amuro has been around waaaaay before her, so is Perry that sounds like her, not the other way around XD She's one of the reasons I don't understand why there's such an issue with kpop artists having long and successful careers (and a private life). This song with AfterSchool was part of an album of collab she released in 2011, pretty much everyone she worked with on that was well stablished in Japan (I love that album), but Kpop was getting popular (finally) in Japan so they gave her a list to choose from and she went with AfterSchool to give them a boost. The MV is her being a madame showing off her girls XD it's not subtle. The Japanese music industry mostly doesn't waist much money on MVs like Kpop and the US industry love to do. They filmed 4 MVs for this album, to add to 3 that were made for songs when they were released as singles, all with different artists.

Well if it was actually a Katy Perry song, then that one was surely older than this song because I don't know any Katy Perry songs after 2011. But I still haven't found what it reminded me of, so I'm trying to forget the pain of not knowing lmao. Damn her career and this album move really sounds awesome. She could literally pick and choose who she wants to do it with lol. Also her showing off "her girls" is somehow really cool, even though it's also odd/unexpected, a Kpop group would agree to that concept lmao. But Namie Amuro is indeed a boss
