Hey all!

It's that time again for you all to suggest speedruns that will be covered in a future video! Right now the timeline for the channel is as follows: late September/early October is Tony Hawk's Underground, late October/early November is Half-Life, and then late November or sometime in December will be whatever is chosen here!

This is the post for suggesting runs that will be featured in a poll that you all will vote on. Please comment with your suggestions, but please read the rules/notes on suggestions below!

The polling process for this will last around two weeks: one week for suggestions, one week for everyone to vote.

A couple notes/rules:

1. The list is starting as empty. Any runs that were a part of the last poll will not be a part of the poll by default.

2. Any runs suggested must be on speedrun.com and have its own leaderboard/category. Please be sure to list the specific category for the run (e.g. Any%, Glitchless, NMG, etc.).

3. The run can be no longer than one hour in length. This is a hard cutoff.

4. Everyone gets TWO suggestions! If you participated in the previous poll and still would like to submit the same runs, you are more than welcome to do that.

5. You cannot submit a run for a game that has been previously covered on the channel (or for a game that already has a video in production). The full list of blacklisted games are as follows:

  • BioShock
  • BioShock 2
  • Bloodborne
  • Control
  • Dark Souls
  • Dark Souls II
  • Dark Souls III
  • DEATHLOOP
  • Demon's Souls
  • Dishonored
  • Dishonored 2
  • DOOM (2016)
  • DOOM Eternal
  • Elden Ring
  • The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
  • Fallout
  • Fallout 2
  • Fallout 3
  • Fallout: New Vegas
  • Fallout 4
  • Fallout 4 VR
  • Half-Life
  • HITMAN (2016)
  • HITMAN 2
  • HITMAN 3
  • Hollow Knight
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
  • Mirror's Edge
  • The Outer Worlds
  • Portal
  • Portal 2
  • Prey (2017)
  • Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
  • SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom
  • Stardew Valley
  • Subnautica
  • Super Mario Odyssey
  • Titanfall 2
  • Tony Hawk's Underground
  • Untitled Goose Game

Suggestions will be open for one week after this post going live, then I'll make the poll with all the options and let that run for one week as well before closing the poll and beginning to make the video! Looking forward to seeing everyone's suggestions!

Comments

serenoa xo

Celeste and Pikmin 1 are my votes!

DamningTheHeavens

Baldur's Gate 3. The current any% record as of writing this is under 4 minutes and uses some insane glitches I can't begin to comprehend

Shiraynui

Baldurs Gate 3 might be a cool pick in the any% category!

Ev!!!

APE ESCAPE 3 ANY%

Benjamin Glover

You know it, they know it - it's Ape Escape Any%

Joseph Penn

Baldur’s Gate 3 Sex% would be pretty great

tomatoanus
>>116840337

Someone already suggested it/added it to the list just before you, so feel free to comment a different run!

tomatoanus
>>116840382

Already covered a Prey run (check list of games above) so won't add it to the list. Feel free to suggest some other runs though, and make sure to check for them on speedrun.com!

EasyKiel

ultrakill p% would be sweet

tomatoanus
>>116840570

Oooh, I actually just checked, and Ape Escape 3 is just over the 1h mark, so going to exclude it from this list. Might be allowed on a future poll Feel free to suggest two other runs though that you'd like to see!

Bertikowski

Zelda II: The Adventure of Link any%. That game is so incredibly broken. The runners can't even see enemies for part of the game and rely on there knowledge about their positions.

tomatoanus
>>116840088

Added to the list, reminder that you can submit two runs, so feel free to comment another!

tomatoanus
>>116840640

Added to the list, reminder that you can submit two runs, so feel free to comment another!

tomatoanus
>>116841157

Added to the list, reminder that you can submit two runs, so feel free to comment another!

TouchMeGently

Super Metroid any%. Oats recently got a new wr

Oscar Perez
>>116840382

Yeap, misunderstood the list as possible candidates, not exclusions. Frostpunk Pacifist any %?

tomatoanus
>>116840382

Added to the list! Reminder that you can submit two, so feel free to comment another if you'd like

Jeremy Davis

Final Fantasy 14 would be interesting. Unusual since it's an MMO, but there's particularly fun category that's got a twist. The "BLU Cooperative" category uses a bonus class, Blue Mage, that gets monster skills and just recently got a big content update. The "Eden's Gate/Verse/Promise" content just became doable with Blue Mage. Looks like 'tackangle" is very active with records over there. Second suggestion is Risk of Rain 2 Low%

Voidmarked

Gotta go with RE: Revelations 2! Claire and Barry routes are both under an hour, so my two suggestions are each of them!

Jeremy Davis
>>116843389

Sorry, I should've been clearer- I was suggesting the Individual Level BLU Cooperative speedruns specifically. The full game runs (MSQ - 'Main Story Quest') are all 13+ hours and just aren't feasible.

David Cheuvront

The witcher 3 blood and wine would be nice. I know it barely lost in a vote not too long ago.

Jeremy Davis
>>116843389

Yup! Those would be good. The top running there, 'tackangle' has done a lot of Blu Coop and Blu Solo so they may have a better/more interesting suggestion.

tomatoanus
>>116846158

Added to the list! You can still suggest one other run to add to the list as well, so feel free to find another and comment it if you'd like!

David Cheuvront
>>116846158

Awesome thank you! I'd like to see bg3 speed runs but I completely understand that the meta is probably going to change a bunch within the next few months so idk if it's a good idea to make a video on it now.

tomatoanus
>>116846158

A couple people have already suggested Baldur's Gate Any% and Sex% so those are on the list already as well!

edced

I still think Celeste is a good idea and maybe starfield, might have to wait a bit in it because it’s new

Ev!!!

Ok so obviously I will be voting for ape escape 1 and 2 but I will also submit Super Monkey Ball All Difficulties/All Stages and Jet Set Radio Any%

tomatoanus
>>116848121

Celeste was submitted by someone else already! I agree with Starfield. The leaderboard doesn't open up for runs until September 20th, so I'd say it won't be allowed to be submitted for this. If you have two other runs you'd like to submit though, feel free to comment them!

HazelTomatoBasil

Morrowind All Main Quests? I think there’s flying involved!!!

tomatoanus
>>116850707

Added to the list! Keep in mind you can submit up to two runs, so if you have another that you'd like to add to the list, by all means leave another comment!

Bertikowski

Ok my second suggestion will be Crysis any% unpatched (includes crazy flying)

Grayson Carr

Kind of a basic suggestion but I’d love to hear coverage of Super Mario 64 16 Star. Green Suigi’s record is insane. Also I think Only Up any% launchless would be a fun one to cover.

Sarkenoth

with Bomb Rush Cyberfunk out now, i have to agree with a Jet Set Radio any%! also, what about Dishonored: Death of the Outsider All Contracts or Nonlethal/Ghost run?

tomatoanus
>>116862785

Can totally submit Death of the Outsider! Since JSR is already on the list, do you want me to add DotO All Contracts and Non-Lethal/Ghost as your two submissions?

Ferdi

I really enjoyed watching a lot of the Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor any% runs. I would to see you cover any one of these!

NikoEstevan

Teardown Part 1 Any % (which would leave part 2 for a future video).

topher

suggestion 1: Cave Story (2004) Best Ending suggestion 2: Super Metroid (1994) Any%

orels1

I'd love to see celeste (True Ending) or hades (Fresh File) speedrun explained

Tiamat

The original F.E.A.R. Any% sounds interesting. Also, Half-Life 2 Any%.

Henry O'Keeffe

I'd like to submit Crysis Any% and Sniper Elite 4 Any% NG+

FOK

Batman: Arkham City (any Arkham game even)

Sander.Bres

Maybe a bit of a recent one, Stray any%

Sander.Bres

And lego hobbit any%, but it's a bit short maybe

tomatoanus
>>116873552

Added Teardown Part 1 Any% to the list! Reminder that you can submit two runs to the poll so feel free to comment another if you'd like!

tomatoanus
>>116875625

Added Cave Story to the list! Someone already suggested/added Super Metroid before you, so if you have a different second run to suggest, feel free to comment it!

tomatoanus
>>116884017

Added F.E.A.R. to the list. For Half-Life 2, are you suggesting just straight up Any% or Any% No Voidclip? Just asking for clarification since No Voidclip is the main Any% category with more runners, although there is a less popular category titled solely "Any%"

tomatoanus
>>116884275

Added SE4 to the list! Someone already submitted Crysis Any% to the list, so if you have a different second suggestion, feel free to comment it!

tomatoanus
>>116888166

Added Arkham City to the list! Keep in mind you can submit up to two runs, so if you have a second one you'd like to submit as well, feel free to comment that too

tomatoanus
>>116893899

Added to the list! Reminder that you can submit up to two runs, so if you have a second game/run you'd like to submit, feel free to comment that as well!

Tiamat
>>116884017

Either actually sounds really interesting, but No Voidclip is probably far more entertaining in my opinion!

John

Have you seen Jedi Survivor? Wild methods

tomatoanus
>>117024257

Someone actually already submitted both Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor, so they're already on the list! If you have two other runs to submit, feel free to do so!

Netami

Would love to see your take on a classic, Super Mario 64 (16 star)!

tomatoanus
>>117076967

Someone actually already submitted that exact run for this poll, so it's already on the list! Feel free to submit up to two different runs though!

The Boots

I don't have a game, exactly, but I want to see a breakdown of a run from a game that doesn't seem like it would be a good speed game. You know, like if there was a super cool run for a board game or hardcore management sim, or something. Just for a change of pace!

Comrade Olive

they're both a bit shorter but i'd love to see outer wilds normal any% or death of the outsider any%!

tomatoanus
>>117795884

Hey Bram, sorry but the suggestion period has already closed for this one! I posted the poll with the full list of options last Tuesday, with the poll closing in just under 24 hours. If you haven't checked it out and voted yet, then go do that now on the newest post!
