Lots of things in the pipeline: Akumi Mobile, Youtube, possibly commissions opening in the future and I'm also moving back to Cali.

New Animations Coming in the Future!

Updates

This last month has given me a lot of epiphanies. I've decided to stop rushing my art and my life. You can't be present or be at your best when everything thing feels like a race.

I'm still working on Akumi Mobiles promo animation. Taking my time to make it good.

I want to start working on animated stories again and releasing them on Youtube. Not rushing it.

I might open limited commissions possibly this year or next quarter.

My hero's journey is over and I'm ready to travel back to my people in Cali.

My journey is almost complete and I learned how important it is to be near the tribe of people you care about in this life. I thought I needed to isolate myself to truly work on my craft. There is some of that needed for sure. But there also has to be a life outside of the art or there's no perspective. There's nothing to contrast with. I've realized my life seems to work better when I don't have strict plans but rather flow with it like a river. No longer forcing things into place if it feels like too much resistance. Which circles back to why I only ever accept commission if I'm truly curious about doing them. When I'm curious as to what it will spark in me when drawing other people's ideas in my style.

Very insightful sir. I look forward to seeing animations again Mr. Pool. I also look forward to commissioning you, I loved the last one you did for me and I'm thinking a scene, another custom character from the many games I play or a certain creature who doesn't belong to me but who's lore I've added too. A creature from my stories I've been writing.

some nice introspection. I wouldn't necessarily say your hero's journey is over, but rather it's entering a new phase. Art and the muses which feed and inspire are such fickle metaphysical creatures that you really do have to reinvent yourself every few miles to maintain inspiration without risking burnout. Artists thrive in environments that constantly stimulate their imagination and it's saying in one place for too long (physically or mentally), I feel, stifles. Looking forward to your animations and art. It will be interesting to see how your art style may change as soon as you're back and settled in Cali (Welcome back to Cali, btw) I also hope that you do more streams in the future once you're settled, and look forward to you maybe trying out short-form animations that Loop or something for yt shorts

Oh for sure, life itself is a never ending journey. There will forever be more to discover but this one was a big chapter in my life. 3 years of figuring things out here alone. But it took this distance to get perspective. I'm not back in Cali yet but packing and prepping for the trip. Not sure exactly when I'll make the drive. A lot to get settled here in my house. But no longer rushing anything. Yes, animation is the next journey I want to go on. I'll still stream occasionally but it's not my calling. I can do it when it feels fresh and new but the scheduled streaming started to feel like a job. I've quit or been fired from every job I've had xD My chaotic mind needs to try different things constantly, if thing feel too stagnant, I move on.
