Things I’m thinking about today: does she use telekinesis or magic? So many possibilities. 

Both are good, both are fun to animate. These are the only kinds of problems I like trying to figure out. Serious business going on here!

also, people who wield magic can use said magic to read minds, levitate things etc. so yeah she can easily have both. make it so.

A wand is something a wizard uses to focus magic, but does it have to be a wand? Why not have her utilize something else like a one-handed trident, a baseball bat, or crowbar etc?

Interesting and unique idea but I want her to be unencumbered as much as possible. That's the reason I was trying to decided between a wand, which can easily be concealed or nothing at all.
