So I decided to start a practice I heard about online about focusing. With all the distractions available to us it's not as easy as you think. But this exercise has you take 1 hour to focus on something you want to do. But during that 1 hour you put away ALL your distractions: this means no phone, no social media, no internet but even no music. They caught me on that one. I always listen to music! But I put it all away. After that hour of focus is finished, you get to reward yourself, take a break, do what ever else you want to do.  Rinse and repeat... The results have been amazing!

Normally my mind is a cluster of things I want to do and I make a mad dash to do ALL of it. I end up making myself exhausted and stressed. In trying to do all of it, I actually get very little done. The thing is, switching tasks after you've gained momentum on one subject, disrupts your flow.  It's like stopping a train going 100mph instantly and trying to go in a different direction all of a sudden. Not good for the contents of the train.

Anyway, to keep this short, the run cycle below and this little "ragdoll rough" of Akumi spin and jump away are the some of the things I've been able to complete in this 1 hour practice. I'm actually posting this as my one hour of focus. 1 hour of updates and sharing my progress. Oh and I have another animation I did of Miltonius throwing a rock I'll share later.

I said I had a tone of sketched to share and I do. But I think what I'll do is share them in a Vlog update. That way it'll be easier to show all of that progress without spamming my page with too many half baked ideas in the form of sketches.

Onwards and Upwards my Friends!

That it's really good! The camera movement is my favorite part and the weight of the landing is really felt. What other sequences do you practice?

Thanks! Yeah I want to really focus on keyframes and snappy animation. I want to see the poses in the movement. I tend to over inbetween stuff and the snappiness gets lost. I've just been animating movements I like and seeing how they turn out. I'll post up the other animation I did tonight!

*puppy eyes* your doing good work, good work!

The more sharp my animation skills get, the better chance we have that I can start trying to emulate some of that anime style. :)
