Notes:

  • One background is currently unfinished, the finished version will be shown in future updates
  • Cal, Damon and June's scenes after the conversation with Ayame are completely optional. Choosing 'Return to your room' in the menu will bring up Vexx's scene and cut out the others, so choose that option last if you'd like to play them all.

Included content:

  • Part 1 of Episode 7 which covers four scenes (MC alone/KY-L3 conversation/Nerissa conversation)
  • Part 2 of Episode 7 which covers three scenes (meeting scene/Ryona conversation/Ayame conversation)
  • Part 3 of Episode 7 which covers five scenes (Calderon conversation/Damon conversation/June conversation/Vexx Conversation/Bash Conversation)

The remainder of Part 4 is still to come.

We hope you enjoy this look at the next episode! Comments and suggestions are welcome below.

Please keep in mind that because this is a beta build content may differ slightly in the released version.

Thank you for posting your observations about the game, sorry it took me a while to reply! You'll be happy to know that once we've finished the 10 episodes and start working on finalising A6 for a full release, we'll be switching to a different kind of romance system (which will be point-based rather than just choosing from a list) so you should find that your concerns around the romances will be addressed there. We are also planning on adding some more customisation choices for MC once we start working on that final version of the game 😊 I'm also happy to report that each LI will have a romantic/intimate scene at the end of Episode 7, although it won't be explicit as we need to stick within our 17+ rating. The next DLC we are planning, After Dark, will be rated 18+ so you will find plenty of spice in there. And I'm glad to hear you're enjoying Episode 7 so far! We have removed Vexx's flashback and will add it in later in the episode to see how it flows. When it comes to things like learning more about the royal children etc that will likely be addressed once we add a codex into the game, which is also in our plans for the future. Thank you again for your comment!

Rebecca

Absolutely wonderful. I adore this story and can't wait to experience the rest of it. Episode 7 is fantastic and practically flawless. I loved having more time with June and Lizzie! <3

Rogue

I have to admit, I'm very intrigued to see where things go with Nerissa. She clearly loves MC and is understandably protective of them, but she doesn't seem to grasp that they aren't a child (if you disagree with her about Cursa, she basically dismisses their opinion because they're "too young") with a mind of their own, so I really want to see how things progress between them if MC starts asserting their independence and breaking away from her more. Her heart definitely seems to be in the right place, but I can't blame Alisa and Zane for not trusting her, and the way she handled it was...well, less than great. She's obviously been through a lot, and literally watching the rest of her family die I could see her tightening her grip out of fear of losing what she has left. On a lighter note, I love the A6 Group Chat and this needs to be thing forever 😂

Konoi Kurozora

I ended up not being able to resist and subscribing to have at least a little bit of Episode 7 content. It was very enjoyable! I was so eager to see more of Nerissa! I really like the fact we can actually oppose her in the Cursa matter. But I was also wondering if there is a reason why we don't have the possibility to actually not say anything, for an undecided MC, or one who doesn't want to risk talking and attracting the ire of one side or the other? One small thing that bothered me a bit was that we learned Vexx was taken to the hospital, but then he's there during the reunion. It makes sense, but it would be nice to have a little line about the MC being surprised he's back already, or one at some point earlier saying he came back or something. That aside, since I only just subscribed a few days ago, I didn't experience the Vexx flashback that people said felt out of place so I can't comment on that. I did have the return of the June and Damon jealousy bits (even without flirting with them) in Episode 6 when romancing Vexx though, but I loaded my Episode 5 save from the normal game so it may be because of that, not because of an issue with the build itself.

Thank you for your feedback, we're happy to hear you're enjoying the episode so far! We've got the 2 options in there to choose between Nerissa and Alisa as there are 2 pretty solid paths the MC will be able to start walking down for the rest of the game, but we can certainly look into adding an option to say nothing, as that would also make sense, and there are other choices that will affect MC's path. Also, I completely agree with the statement about Vexx at the meeting! Though this was something I thought about after writing that scene, so you'll likely see a sentence or two added into the next update 😅 Vexx's flashback scene should also be added back in the next update, so feel free to let us know what you think of it if you get to play it! The jealousy lines were also added back in, and should be working as intended 😊

I don't know why but both links are opening up the Mac download file :(

Just went through the beta and love it so far. I think my only notes for it are when given the option to agree with Nerissa or Alisa, maybe an option for how mc feels? Like if they're confident or nervous before speaking, etc. Standing up to both women is nerve wracking for different reasons and it might give more flavor for the mc. I think also there should be more emotional weight when Nerissa dismisses mc's feelings if they agreed with Alisa, given that that's exactly what mc's family has done to them all their life (dismissing their thoughts, feelings, and opinions) and now for their beloved sister to be doing it to them, would probably at the very least sting. The only other suggestion I have is maybe more thoughts for a kit mc on the stuff with the kitalphans potentially gaining a new home, either when it's first mentioned or when speaking to Aya afterward. Right now it feels like they don't have much investment or feelings towards it other than "that's good" when earlier in the game they had stronger feelings about their people and heritage. Other than that, I think it's great. Really love the talks with both K and Ryona.

Thank you for your feedback, you've got some good suggestions! We're still working on some editing for the episode so will take your suggestions on board 😊

Hello Team! Thank you so much for your hard work so far! I have been enjoying playing your game update after update. After your last update, I came across 2 typos errors where two words are stick together instead of separated by a space. I took a screenshot but don't know where to send it to you ... The words are "doorframe" (I don't remember) and "deathwish" (Zane on Orion facing Wren) Also, I really appreciate your new updates, I wanted to ask if it was possible to add more background, especially when Nerissa's remembering the day of the slaughter at her brother wedding. I wish we can see the ball room instead of a random hallway. And the fountains around the park (Alisa, Zane, Damon) or the gazebo (June) at the very end of the chapter 7 update. I can't wait to have more heartfelt moments with my chosen LI even if it's small touches, whispered words, stolen romantic or lustful moments. Apart from that, I don't know what to expect from Nerissa. I can't wait to see the different futures we can choose for ourselves. - Be Nerissa's heir and stay governing by her side - Be Nerissa's heir but stay in the political game as a diplomat representing the monarchy to the other planets for instance - Refuse to be part of the politics entirely and choose to follow my own path - Refuse to be part of the politics entirely and choose to follow a friend (any other member of the A6, Oppo and Alisa included) or our chosen LI to his/her personal quest - Follow my own path and become anonymous - Decide to become the new king/queen/ruler in stead of Nerissa (traitor route) - Raly with Zovack to undermine Nerissa's coup attempt (traitor route) - and more... I hope that whatever route we choose, we can ask our LI to follow us/stay with us or that our LI asks us to follow/stay with them and deepen our relationship to something more than just a flirt or a new interest but maybe the love of their life. I need romance and much more! 😆 In any way, I'd like our future to not be written in stone and be open to change as times passes and new experiences light new opportunities for my character. Same thing for the other members of A6. I wish we could have an end like "a year or two later" what happened to them ever since you part ways? Maybe my character can keep in touch regularly with each members?

Esme

Little Bug I noticed: Was following June's route when I reached Vexx scene in the beta but instead of remarking about about the MC's relationship with June, Vexx says: "Calderon, I know. I was surprised when I found out, didn't think he was your type." I restarted and checked through Calderon's route and it was the same line. So it seems that line has been added to both routes rather than exclusively to Calderon's.

Fae

*cries in poly* Ooh, the after talk if you have Vexx as the first love hurts. 🥲 I did get an exception error after talking to Damon at the lake when his scene ends, I’m on his route if that matters. I think the Vexx scene is interesting although, perhaps a little more internal buildup or justification on why mc might accept or decline to look at the memory? There wasn’t really a pause or thought process when they’re given the choice, just jumps straight into it when it’s a rather heavy and traumtizing topic (having the chance to witness what happened to their family), even as they say they want to watch it if you pick that option. Maybe something like wanting to see what their family’s last moments or to gain more insight on how Vexx’s mindset was during it and how it explains more of his own suffering, instead of just jumping into it without preamble. Vexx's reasoning wasn't very clear either. I feel like giving the mc more of the emotional options this episode would be good. I always felt like one of the game's strengths was how much we could shape our mc's emotional reactions to things, something a lot of vns are more limited in. It's still a beta obviously but mc does feel more passive or less controlled by the player in this chapter, they're just kinda brushing everything off. As a player, I've enjoyed how much personality I could control for my mc and right now, as a player, it feels more like being relegated to passenger. I will say, having two flashbacks by characters outside of the mc's perspective might be a bit much for one chapter, although, Vexx's flashback makes more sense given that it's mc seeing it, whereas with Nerissa it's breaking the fourth wall directly for the player to see. I do appreciate that we're able to understand Nerissa's perspective in that she's not a bad guy. But right now it feels more like trying to add exposition rather than what's natural for the characters. Overall his scene regarding their relationship (he and the mc) is good and the reconciliation is sweet.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback and point out that error! I think at this stage we may remove the flashback scenes and try to rework those scenes in a different way and see how that goes, and we are definitely taking notes to add in more of the emotional responses from MC 😊

Happy to help (I beta'd for Lunaris Games game Errant Kingdom before and find the process fun)! I saw the edit of the meeting scene if Nerissa dismisses mc's opinion and thought it was a good change! I'm looking forward to what y'all come up with. 😊

Konoi Kurozora

I have skipped the previous build, so my feedback is about both Damon's and Vexx's scenes. Out of the three optional ones, I actually liked Damon's the most! Not even for Damon himself, but because I really enjoyed the interaction with Alisa and Zane, especially considering my MC actually supported Alisa during the meeting. For Vexx's scene, I feel like for the memory chip part there should get more build-up leading to it. It sort of feels disconnected from what was previously talked about. I would have considered it's because of Vexx's mind state before, but since the very point of the conversation is to tell he's a bit better now, it makes less sense to have so little transition between the two moods / parts of the conversation. Some more internal monologue from the MC when learning about the chip and when selecting to view the contents would be nice too. I think it's a nice opportunity for some flavor text depending on how the MC deals with grief too! You know, the whole anger or sadness and so on that we get to decide earlier on in the game. But other than that, I really like the very concept of it, the fact we can actually SEE how things unfolded. I think it's a very interesting way of "narrating the scene" With that being said, with how this scene is presented, I almost think Nerissa's flashback is a bit out of place now - since it's an actual flashback that's not the MC's. I wonder if we could maybe get something similar to this for hers? Like being able to view a recording of the killings from some surveillance camera or something for example, and just having Nerissa actually tell the MC about her feelings (maybe later on). Would also help humanize her. Not that I dislike that scene, mind it! But it would be a bit strange to have one single actual flashback in the game (other than the MC's, that is), and not even for the LIs. Or it could even be Nerissa talking about it with things being shown on screen instead of just having the "present" be visible to the player. Anyway, of course this is just my perception of it - since this is a beta I allow myself to give that sort of feedback, but I'm by no means trying to push you to change things! I just hope it's useful.

Robin

I just finished the Beta and encountered an Error screen after finishing Damon's Scene. Though I did enjoy Vaxx's scene and didn't find any errors.

Amy Eklund

On Damon's route when you're done talking to him by the lake, there's an error screen. Also, on June's route, Vexx says you're with Cal. I even fully replayed June's to ensure my load wasn't just a misplaced Cal save, but the same mismatched dialogue happens. So much progress and looking forward to more from this chapter.

Fae

Just finished this latest updated demo and the improvements really work! I think the flow is a lot better now and fits better overall to the rhythm of the previous chapters and game as a whole. Can't wait for the full release! <3 Edit: Ok so this suggestion may be more for the revamp when y'all do it (and I don't know if you're already planning to) but you might want to explain in the race options you'll only be half that race or leave some traits ambiguous in the dialogue. What I mean is, if you play a kit it feels a little disappointing to pick that option, only to be told later you can't get any of the traits that would likely have that person pick that option to start with, and it feels a bit like you might as well picked human (just one who has scars), especially when compared to the tilaari option who feels way more balanced and integrated if you pick that option as your race (like tilaari mc feels unique enough as a flavor option). The "scarred gills" line in this chapter just kinda makes you focus on the disappointment, at least it does for me (and obviously this is all subjective). I understand that half kits can't do a full transformation but the gills being functional or not might be better left vague so players can headcanon which parent their kit favors, whether they're more like Vexx or if they favor their mother more. Especially since the beginning of the game was more vague, like Bash asking if you'd do his tank idea or MC wondering if they could ever sport the glittery substance on their gills the way they saw other kits do. It just feels disappointing being told "you're a space mermaid if you pick this option, jk you're not actually", if that makes sense. This is just my two cents obviously but hopefully some helpful feedback. Game is still fantastic!

Rebecca

I just finished playing through 7.7 and I agree with what others have said about the flow being much better this way--the conversation with Vexx especially feels more natural. The group chat had me cackling and the talk with Bash was both necessary and well-constructed. I am beyond excited for the full release of Chapter 7, and what is to come after that as well. Keep up the amazing work and take care of yourselves! <3

Thank you for your feedback, glad to hear you find the episode is flowing better now! We'll also absolutely take into account your feedback on the Kitalphan MC. The game has been in development for a while now so, unfortunately, some things aren't lining up with the earlier episodes as well as they should. We will do some work on that as we head towards the final product and will aim to make the species selection more involved and meaningful 😊

Thanks for your feedback, Rebecca! We're happy to hear things feel like they are flowing better in the episode now, and hope you'll enjoy the final release!

Ayame

I've just played through Episode 7 (the officially released version) and... OMG you killed it. I absolutely loved it! It was all so good, but that scene with Vexx as Traveler's ex-lover? That last scene with the chosen LI (Damon in my case)? Perfection. I felt so many things and I ahhhhhhh I can't even put into words how good it was!! Can't wait for "After Dark" but I think I might die if it's half as good as this was haha. Keep up the great work, and thank you for making this gem of a game 😃

Episode 7 has now been released so the beta is outdated. You'll have to download the released episode on itch.io 😊

weremoogle

I never knew I needed a crew group chat until this moment. I hope they fill it with memes. Space memes. Aside from that I did find the Vexx flashback opening pretty jarring, especially since I don't think we've have a POV switch previously in the game.

Aetheries

I agree with the statement above, and will note that Nerissa's flashback was less jarring because we had her standing in front of us there was expected build up. Perhaps Vexx could use some similar framing? Had I not read Aeriie's other patreon content I might mistake it for a dream that the Traveler is having initially. Beyond that the phrases used to describe K's emotional state or lack there of are very closely worded perhaps instead of describing what he lacks each time you should describe what he has, where he chooses to pause, his body language or changes of inflection in tone when he responds etc..

Jack Newbill

Oh, cool! I'll have to remember to download after D&D tonight...

mia

hey, mac user here. i don't know why, but once i download the file and it starts automatically unzipping itself, it just gives me the basic a6 game ? like the game with the first 6 episodes, but not the beta. does anyone has any idea on how to just get the beta file instead of the game one ?

Kalyx Wynthor

Hello there ! I have so much to tell. First thing first, I’d like to congratulate you all for the wonderful work you’ve done so far with the game. The story line, the characters and their depth, the places around the System, the spaceship interior, the music, everything is on point and so lively. To date, it has become one of my favorite visual novels. Now, I’m going to tell more about some observations I made while playing chapters 1 to 6 and what I wish to find in the future for the gameplay. Furthermore, I’ll provide feedbacks on the 7th chapter’s new released scenes in development. 1) OBSERVATIONS FROM CHAPTER 1 TO 6 - There is something that doesn’t seem right to me about the change in LI between the LI choices we had to make before Orion and then the LI we finally set on when our MC was about to fall in the pit. I will give you an example of one of my play through. I chose to be Tilaari and identify as a male. I decided to be the flirty kind of guy, but only with June, Damon and Bash. Every time I had to select a love interest BEFORE Orion, I chose June. It means that when I eavesdropped to Damon and Alisa’s conversation in Cursa, Damon was still into Alisa, and she promised him that if he still feels the same after everything (meaning fighting against the K’Merri clan and Zovack), she will stop having sex with Zane and start dating Damon instead. Then, in Orion, when our MC was about to fall into the pit, I chose to think about Damon, and admit to myself that I was in love with him. I played his route just like I would if I had chosen him from the very start of the game, and it didn’t change a thing. It was quite disappointing to notice that there weren’t any connection between what Damon felt for the MC before the Orion arc and knowing that he had still deep feeling for Alisa that he confessed, vs what he is feeling now that he almost lost our MC and that he found that he has romantic feelings for our MC. It would have been awesome to have a question from our MC about his deep feelings for Alisa (jealousy towards Zane + romantic love for her), maybe even admit that we eavesdropped their conversation and question him about his feelings for her now. Or even have Damon speak about it and admit that he thought he had still romantic feelings for Alisa, but after our MC’s near death, he only thought about us and he admits that he was blind by his history with Alisa, but now he knows that he was starting to feel for you from the start and after your near death he can easily admit that he is indeed in love with you. Alisa is important to him as a big sister, but that’s all. - And that example is the same if we flirt with Damon and Vexx who knew each other even before our MC and maybe write a discussion about Damon’s jealousy towards your past love story with Vexx because he is unsure of the fact that you won’t choose Vexx again if he is cured and become himself again (in case you select Damon after Orion). Or oppositely, Vexx’s jealousy towards Damon in the case where our MC and Vexx were lovers but now Damon is our MC’s choice after Orion. I hope that’s clear. I apologize if it isn’t. English isn’t my native language. 2) WHAT I WISH TO FIND IN THE FUTURE CHAPTERS - More CGs with our LI, more CGs of characters, more places, more settings. - Our LI offered us to go see their room, but we still haven’t been there and that’s a pity because it would be so great to enter the small world of our LI and see his/her personality and hobbies being displayed through the room decor, for instance. - Please, I beg you, could you integrate more sensual scenes, mild (or mild ++ or more ;)) physical interactions with our LI. Our MC and his/her/their LI are functional young adults with love to share and needs to satiate. Maybe add some description of their physical state, like feeling each other’s arousal when they are pressing against our MC or sounds they could make while kissing or grinding against us, for example. - I wish you would add more subtle interactions with our LI, even when other characters are present with them. A smile, a wink, a caress, a whisper here, a stolen kiss, a tender fleeting moment there. - Please, add more romantic scenes with our LI like a date (formal or informal) such as watching stars with June or Damon, borrow a thriller book from Damon and debating about it afterwards, playing a video game with Calderon, etc. Share our LI’s passions and make our MC share their in return. - I wish we could choose more physical aspects of our MC : complexion, hair color/length/style, height, clothing style, piercing/tattoos/ jewels, etc. Now that we aren’t a royal in a palace, we can be ourselves and be open about it. - We can choose our pronouns, but it would be awesome if we could choose our birth genitals. For instance, you can be born as a boy (male genital) but then identify yourself as a NB. - I can’t wait to meet Zovack himself and read his story, his motivations behind his actions. 3) THE 7TH CHAPTER’S NEW RELEASED SCENES FEEDBACK - Vexx’s flashback lacks context and arrives out of the blue without being previously announced by another conversation we could have with Vexx - Maybe a font change would be great to differentiate what Vexx’s normal mind is trying to convince himself vs Vexx’s corrupted mind trying to influence him into doing bad things, doing what Zovack ordered him to do. - The MC alone time was short, but good for self-introspection. I really enjoyed the text messages exchanged within the Andromeda Six’s group chat. That’s brilliant and hilarious ! I’d like to read more of that kind of exchanges. And why not adding a private chat with the Love Interest too ! - The sketch of the Tilaarian suite is stunning ! I can’t wait to read sexy scenes with my LI in mine or his/her room. - My favorite scene so far is the conversation our MC got with KY-L3 about Bash and his will to change almost his whole body into cybernetic limbs and artificial organs. It was extremely well thought and well brought up by the MC. KY-L3 doesn’t experience human’s emotion like we do, but he seems to have a remarkable insight when it comes to understand human behavior. His guess about our resentment towards Nerissa was so accurate. - Now I’d like to know more about KY-L3’s life as a Royal guard and before when he was a soldier. - Nerissa’s flashback was great because thanks to her, we were introduced to their other siblings and that was illuminating to say the least. As the eleventh child, our MC had so many siblings with their own personalities, ambitions, etc. It would be awesome to know more about our MC’s family. Now, we also know that our MC’s mother was the third wife, but how many children were hers among the eleven, we still don’t know. Did they get on well with one another ? Were there rivalries ? Etc. - I really appreciate the fact that we talked about Vexx and that we could have an opinion about our inheritance as Nerissa’s only sibling alive and favorite one. Now, I am wondering if our choice about that question will impact the possible ends to the story. - Last but not least, I was very impressed by how good the character’s moods transitioned in Nerissa’s conversation. No need to go to the next dialogue to see the changes in her face expression. That was extremely well executed, and I wish it would be applied to all the game, even the previous chapters.

Hello, have you tried playing through to the end of Episode 6 and can't progress? The file contains the whole game, plus the start of Episode 7. We can't put out a file with only the new scenes due to coding variables.

when i tried to load my file starting at the end of episode 6 if took me back to the home screen, but i tried re-doing the whole episode and it worked ! thank you for your time, i'm going to play the beta right now :)

Bok

incredible work so far! the new bg looks so good already, definitely loving the vibes. also the little chat moment was adorable, bash had me rolling. KY-L3 also looks great. :DDD

LenNerd Wii

Omg I love KY-L3! He's exactly how I was imagining him! ❣️ Well, I don't know how much detail I'm allowed to go into (because of possible spoilers?) but so far I find the behavior of the different characters very understandable. The beginning captures the events of the previous episode very well. I really like the atmosphere of the new location. Both spatially and contextually. I'm really excited about the new chapter and I'm really looking forward to it 🫶🏻
