NCIS S04E09 UNCUT.mp4

Twisted Sister McGee breaks the rules, risking his NCIS job, to help his sister Sara, who shows up disoriented and bloodied. While he works on figuring out what happened to his sister, the NCIS team is investigating a case of a Navy sailor, who is somehow connected to McGee's sister.

McGee's book coming out of nowhere: Not really. In 02x11 Black Water, McGee tells the PI that he does some writing. He even mentions, at 18m 40s into that episode, that his main character is based on Gibbs. Since then, it has been mentioned multiple times or at least alluded too. In 04x06 Witch Hunt, McGee says he meet his "Ice Queen" at the Armani Store. A high-end clothier, for example.

Troian Bellisario, who played Sara, is Sean Murray's half-sister in real life. Her brother Michael played Chip in season 3, and their dad is the creator of the show.

Lukas

Generally true, but I don't see the relevance of the Ice Queen reference? That was about his date for Halloween, he was supposed to go dressed as Elf (the small christmas-y kind) and she as Ice Queen. That didn't seem to have anything to do with the book.

That part had more to do with McGee spending a lot of money "from selling the book in secret" than his new girlfriend. Tony also mentions that McGee had been spending a lot of money recently in "Dead and Unburied" when McGee shows off his new cell phone.
