Your dislike of director Vance was shared by many as the actor Rocky Carroll said that he was constantly accosted by people the first season he was on ncis who would yell at him for the way he was treating everyone.

That's awful :( I hate when actors are treated badly for what their characters did. It's not like Vance did anything particularly evil here. Jenny really blurred the lines between a colleague and their big boss, which probably added to why Vance in the lead was jarring. Seems I'm in the minority of those who liked him? :P What did you think about him at this point, Mel? I'm curious to see his future reactions, and if he goes back to liking Vance or if the dislike grows. But yeah, I can understand why many disliked him for stirring up the team etc. I enjoyed Vance before this, but I don't know -- I guess then I was just more mad at his choices than at his character. I liked Jenny herself, but as a Director she annoyed me. It's nice seeing Vance have a better focus on his job and overall role at NCIS.

Been counting down all week for these two reactions. So much fun, as always. I don't know if I'm the only one, but that logic bomb moment totally does happen -- even if someone is indeed babbling about something completely unrelated, a particular word often sparks inspiration. There's so much I want comment on with these reactions, but just in case it's a bit spoilery I'll hold off. It's episode pairings like these (as they're not a 2-parter or anything) that makes your 2 eps a week work out really nicely, as you got the whole team back in one sitting. I'm so glad they didn't drag that out, and I'm excited for you to see what else season 6 has in store!

I thought he was a good challenge to Gibbs because they often portrayed Jenny as too easy z pushkveg. Yes, she would stand up to him, but almost to prove that she could stand up to him, but really she mostly rolled over for him. It's the development of vance znd gibb's relationship that is more interesting than the past relationship with Jenny. I'll liked her character for the period she was there, but overall, I think Vance and the development of his character has been a good Change and their relationship brought more places to go than just...... jenny and gibbs used to be old flames.

the USS Reagan and USS Seahawk are both ships ( though 1 is real and 1 is fake/made up for JAG/NCIS ). The Reagan is a real ship classed as a Supercarrier and the Seahawk is a fictional ship that is classed as an Aircraft Carrier. Tony was stationed on the Reagan for awhile, then the Seahawk.
