Those Kinds of Things Dexter shows up at his 20th high-school reunion with the intention of confronting the former prom king. Elsewhere, an investigation into a heinous murder with religious overtones leads Dexter to ponder spiritual matters and wonder about his son's legacy. And an unexpected situation results in Debra becoming a hero.

I appreciate you discussing the religious aspects of the various shows over the years, it’s refreshing! As someone that was raised Catholic, not a thumper though lol, it is always nice to hear various perspectives! I cherish my folks raising me with Christian moral principles as a baseline for life, but then after I was ~13/14 I was able to branch out myself and increase my depth of understanding in various fields similar to what you’ve said about parents not necessarily hard-pushing religion on their kids. But having them involved in faith as a moral foundation then allowing them to make their own decisions as they grow older, it was a good balance I appreciated from my folks for sure! I think for Dexter, a good cover for his son would be some sort of faith or belief even if he isn’t in it himself, not thumping (private school maybe) but having a mix of his principles from Harry & also some broad moral foundations that often come with some various forms of faith could be a good blend to have him believably “teaching” Harrison while also not PUSHING Harrison in any particular direction & allowing him to make those determinations later as you’ve said. Definitely not a bad call for kids especially ones with parents similar to Dexter’s psyche 😂
