The reason so many people don't like this season is because it was such an abrupt departure from the other seasons. For example, how many Fringe cases have they been on this season? None. Also at the conclusion of Season 4, Olivia tells Peter she's pregnant, and one episode later it is 20 or so years in the future. I say that but I am grateful that Fox actually allowed this to happen. Personally I think they wanted to end it after Season 4 but they were convinced to at least give a shortened 5th season to finish up the story. Personally I think that Fox didn't want another "Firefly" problem and even though viewership stagnated it was still a very popular show. Finally I will still say that this is my least favorite season but that certainly doesn't mean it is a bad season by any means. This is very good storytelling. Very emotional because we are knowing that the end of the show is coming and we don't want it to end. The writing has been so good that we actually care for these characters. Seriously I am going to start watching Fringe from the beginning after this. Easily my favorite show.

I still can't believe that only two people have reacted to this great great show. (That I've found anyway.) I'm just thankful you are one of them. I'll say it again. I really like season 5. It is a departure. A lot less humorous and far far darker and a whole lot more depressing. But I am a bit of an emotional drama junkie. As a Whovian I'm used a show I love changing up every few years or so. That's always a difficult transition that isn't always as easy to get onboard with.

Yeah that's right. Loved his reactions too. I tried to get JLD Reactions to start but with no success. He only watched the pilot but hasn't released it as yet. He's favouring watching The 100 instead. Why is nobody else watching this fantastic show! It confounds me, truly it does. lol

As always, It’s important to not give anything away. As we approach the last few episodes of season 5, of a TV show that is as brilliant at twists and turns as they are of great emotional depth, I can simply say: You are not emotionally ready for these upcoming episodes (because it is not possible to be!).
