I really enjoyed this episode more than average. We see a "softer" of side of Shaw and I love it.

Great reaction to a great episode. Thank you.

Shaw isn’t “broken” and nothing happened to her to “make” her that way. She’s NOT psychopathic, she has sociopathic tendencies. She’s ALWAYS been that way, it was just the car accident and people’s reaction to HER reaction to it that made her realise that she wasn’t “normal” She has feelings, she just doesn’t feel or express them the way people would see as normal.

I think you have the wrong understanding of what happened with Shaw in the flashback. She didn't shutdown or block anything out, she fully understands what happened, it simply just doesn't matter to her. Her feelings don't register like other peoples and she expresses them different. The car accident didn't make her that way, she was like that before, the car accident scene was just used as an example of how she is different, but it is not the cause of her being different. She isn't broken and nothing happened to her to make her that way, like she said, she was like that for as long as she can remember, even before the car accident.

RE: Carter and the Rookie. I remember him being HR, but I completely forgot about turning the tables on him. The way she did it was badass. Also, Carter this season is a lot more morally grey than the Carter of season 1. Considering everything that she has seen and been through it makes sense.
