A note on Headspace updates going forward (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Just needed to make a post to update you guys about Headspace and the version updates I'm releasing each month. Earlier this month, I posted about how I was stuck on a business trip but was gonna do my best to catch-up on content for the update, but something is becoming more and more apparent.I'm just gonna come out and say it: I can't maintain the update pace I tried to set for myself ;_;

Headspace started as a lil' passion project that I'd occasionally doodle up new scenes or enemies for, while expanding on a story that I'd been tossing around in my head. It was something I was slowly building up over time. Once I brought the game public on my Patreon, I thought to myself "Alright, time to go ALL-IN on this" and I jam-packed the last two version updates with all sorts of cool stuff I had in store. New zones, new enemies, new scenes, new characters, new plugin features, new interactions, etc. I felt like I had to really step it up with each update, which is why I planned to release those five new lewd scenes next month.But it's becoming clear that I was only able to make those initial updates so beefy because I already had so much doodles, planned story, and concepts mapped out. Now that I've reached a point where I'm expanding on new content, I'm seeing that it's going to take more time to actually refine it into something I'm happy with. Combined with the increasing love for "Veronica & Mona" content, I often find myself torn between having to choose from multiple projects when I find the time to draw. To make things more complicated, even the way I draw has been changing.

Once I started getting really into the comics, I realized that I wasn't happy with how unpolished my art originally looked. I started investing more time into making my artwork look nicer, but it became more time-consuming to create. Nowadays, I get off work, spend a few hours whipping up a comic or animation, eat dinner, and then it's basically 9 p.m. already, so I either spend the time I have left dabbling in Headspace updates or tending to real-life obligations. I want Headspace to continue being what it already is - a lewd, quirky RPG handwritten (handtyped?) with love and care, but I don't think I'd be in the right mindset to maintain that level of quality if I was forcing myself to generate more content faster and faster. 

To summarize, Headspace became what it is now thanks to casual, occasional updates where I'd sometimes think to myself: "Ooh! I should add THIS!" and then I'd draw up a whole character interaction. Recently, I've been in a panicked scramble to whip up enough content for meaty updates and I'm thinking, "...is this actually GOOD for the game? Am I rushing things?" and that worries me. So for the moment, I'm putting the strict update schedule on the shelf and returning to my roots when it comes to game development. I love Headspace - this game is my baby and I don't want it to become something that I'm forcing myself to churn out content for.

For those of you who are big fans of Headspace and were excited for big updates each month, I truly am sorry to say that things have to slow down a bit from here on. I want to make quality content for the game, but I can't do that if I'm pushing myself to make stuff. I still intend to release version updates on the 1st of every month, but they aren't going to be as jam-packed with loads of new content as they have been so far. As a minimum, I'm going to try to release at least one new lewd scene or one new area per update from here on. Of course, if I get hit with a neat idea during the month, then there's a good chance the update will have some extra stuff in there too, but that'll just be a little bonus content. 

Again, I'm sorry to change my Headspace update schedule like this, but I feel that it's important for the health of the game going forward. I hope you can understand, and thank you for reading 💚 Here's some Blocker titty:
