This was intended to be a long Q&A session, but honestly, we'd been out filming for 11-12 hours two days in a row.  So this turned into a general discussion and then evolved into a brief Q&A near the end.

It starts slow with us chatting over dinner but gets more invovled as it goes on.

While I realize this isn't a straight up Q&A, I think it's definitely worthwhile and this discussion gives more insight into what's going on with the "new media", and may give you some insight into why Dugan nix'd the CarnikCon project.

I don't think there's any serious adult language in here, but I can't recall all of it, so be warned just in case.  If there is any, it's minor.

PS: No one here hurts animals or cats.  It's a joke. :)

This collaboration with Primary & Secondary went incredibly well and we hope to do a lot more.    You'll be seeing more of Dugan (CarnikCon) on both IRTV and P&S in the near future!

It felt like a punch in the gut when I saw the carnikcon channel deleted recently. Thanks for this ray of sunshine, im going to listen right now. I really want to see more from Dugan, I hope he's working on some sort of reincarnikcon.

Freedom America ale.” Definitely miss the channel and almost all the videos were deleted this month but someone saved them on an archive channel. The Ameriflauge, ar vs. ak, 9mm vs .45 are at least still there but other gems are gone.

And sorry for a 3rd comment Karl commenting as I’m listening, I came to patreon to support your ammo costs for matches on historical firearms to see how a good rifleman experiences it under stress. Also your old west vignettes especially your last one was excellent and reminds me of those old history channel shows like, ‘tales of the gun’. When I can afford it I’ll pledge more a month but I support multiple channels and don’t make a ton but I’ll help. Shows like inrangetv, forgotten weapons, the Great War, and c&rsenal are the only shows I watch anymore. Only thing I watch on tv anymore is nascar(don’t judge me)

Regarding flat faced triggers; I tend to like a flatter trigger if the travel and reset is short. There's something about that short travel distance that works with a flat trigger. I don't personally own any perfectly flat triggers but the flatter triggers I do have (AKT, Timney SCAR) are also much shorter pulls. That to me seems to fit with the mechanical advantage idea.

Anyone else have issues with iPhone 6s playing this? Stops after 5 seconds and then restarts when you click play again.

Fun talk. About the clothing/bumper stickers it could be two intentional reasons. One is normalizing and raising awareness. YouTube is trying to brush firearms content in the corner while having a shirt or bumper sticker brings it back up. Second is conversation starting. That could be meeting random people with common interests, or self advertising for a group/event/whatever that you're in.

Was interesting listening. But I do still want to know why the Carnik Con channel was deleted. I can understand not making new content etc but why remove the current content? It was honestly fantastic and I got a heap of laughs out of it over the years.

As I'm listening to your audio content / talkey-stuff on my way to work I would love it if you could run a normalizer over your final product before release. As before but also in this audio you are very clear and loud but the others are quiet. It's hard to balance your LOUD-STarting-but-fading-into-normal and everyone else's quiet talking.
