Please reply to this thread with your proposed question.

Please only post one question and post it as a single sentence, not a paragraph, if possible (within reason).

We know that we don't get to all of them, and some of you have maybe asked the same question more than once, and for that we apologize.   If you're submitting the same question again, please note that in your reply.

Thanks!

What would you change about your WWSD project if legal constraints weren’t a factor?

Are you aware of your meme status and if so what are your thoughts on it?

Fabian Haberhauer

Asking this again: What are your thoughts on the Shell Shock Technologies two-piece cases?

DerpLord90

I've asked this before: given the improvements in body armour we've seen (and the coming of power armour like systems in future decades)- how do you anticipate small-arms ammunition will evolve to deal with this? Mini-APFSDS? Tungsten heavy alloy or depleted uranium rounds?

Pokeroots

I've asked this before and maybe you've answered it before, but if I want to get into collecting C&R but also participate in in matches like 2 gun, where would you suggest one start

Theodore WALKER

If there was one thing you could change about firearms; legislation, mentality, technology, lethality,; what would it be ?

John Ohme

For Ian: You mentioned you have a secure room for your gun collection. What makes that room secure? For Karl: Best location for a red dot on an AK-74? Why?

Rob Clark

What would you predict to be the next great innovation for firearms, handguns and long arms?

Sean Cowden

Why has the military transitioned from recoil operates L/MMG’s (M1919) to gas operated L/MMG’s (M60, M240)? Is it a reliability issue or are gas operated guns just more modern?

Paul Steigerwald

During the various matches and tactical training you have attended, have you found one type of load bearing equipment (chest rig, war belt, etc.) more generally useful or comfortable than others? Has one method been generally better than another for carrying equipment while running, jumping and crawling around in match environments? Thanks.

What are your thoughts on Metal Storm, with its electronically-fired stacked munitions? Is it just an interesting dead end or might there be some potential there?

Do you guys want to try my tungsten alloy bolt for Karl’s Mac 11? 800 rpm in the OEM upper

What are your guys thoughts on /k/ and do you think a completely anonymous board like 4chan has relevancy as a place of legitimate discussion?

Do you guys know where I can get my untrel rifle scopes repaired ? /im in canada /but I could ship to us for repair

Imagine it is 20 years after the apocalypse. The entire advanced manufacturing base is long gone, and the guns made before the disaster are wearing out, requiring the construction of new ones. You--Ian and Karl--are still alive and retain your knowledge of guns, yet you only have access to simple machine tools no better than what existed in WWI and to low-quality materials you find in places like car junkyards. It is impossible to make polymer, to do injection molding, to use computer-aided manufacturing, and it is hard even to make machined parts from blocks of metal. In such a circumstance, what guns would you build (for each category: handgun, SMG, rifle, assault rifle)? For instance, would you build a STEN, but modified to accept double-feed mags since in retrospect, you know the single-feed mags were a design flaw?

C.j. Singleton

Which BCGs did you end up using on the WWSD rifles? I heard Karl mention in one video that he was using the faxon gunner lightweight BCG.

Kyle Clark

In your opinuon, if the Browning Automatic Rifle had been kept at the M1918 standard, lightened and rechambered in 7.62 NATO, could it have been a better option than the M14 during the Vietnam War?

MNETHTBRD

As a follow-up to your answer on my AK question last month: What are your thoughts on the new Galils in 5.56? Also thoughts on AK pistols being SBR'd or braced?

Justin

Previously, we heard you discuss visiting East coast and European battlefields. Do you have any desire/expectation to visit the Pacific Islands battlefields especially to visit themed match? I ask because my favorite shooting spot overlooks the Asan battlefield on Guam.

Almeida

Karl, I am new to 3gun/2gun. I want to be practical but find that the fal and ptr91 fight me perfectly and are to only rifles that feel natural. Is it just my fascination to the rifles that are clouding my judgement or is it possible that in theory I can keep up with ar15s in limited division since they don't have a heavy division.

Mark Smith

Karl, being the AK guru, is it better to run a red dot on a railed gas block or the side rail?

Derek Martin

Is the lever action alternative history series still on the horizon, or are their other projects that come first?

Thomas Bobay

Is competition necessary to improve skill/ stress inoculate, or is time stress and people seeing your score sufficient? I.E. will you get more from a rifle match than a Project Appleseed shoot?

Eric Bright

What are your thoughts on the linear comp / blast can / sound forwarding device muzzle attachments? Does the benefit of "less perceived concussion" offset additional weight ? Does it really make you a better neighbor at the range with the trend of AR and AK pistols or shorter barreled rifles ?

Mika (Koro)

(Attempt #2) About two years ago uploaded a video interviewing Jim Sullivan that included a demonstration of his modified (ArmWest) AR-15 design. Can you give us an update as to what happened to his program since then and could you revisit his work as a compliment to the WWSD (WWSullivanD) project?

Matisse Enzer

What is your opinion of the degree to which precision guided mortar and grenade munitions will eventually replace medium and heavy machine guns for infantry use?

Kaz

I found your video on the Miracle Valley incident interesting. I know the historical videos are time consuming to do, but in addition to your "Old West" vids do you have any plans for some more "New West" content, perhaps focusing on happenings in the modern-day wild west like infamous bank heists, shootouts, border shenanigans etc?

Deviant Ollam

Pity you weren't at their 303 SkyTalk at DEFCON 24

Settle a Thanksgiving table debate my family and I had? (We checked and there aren't definitive satisfying answers online) ... What is it about handgun calibers that makes the projectiles ill-suited for being pointed Spitzer type bullets? (I see explanations ranging from velocity to the fact that feeding devices are often in a gun's grip... But would love a more comprehensive understanding)

Felix B

How important or unimportant is the width and shape of a rifle stock in terms of handling and comfort when shooting? In your video on the polymer lower used for the WWSD rifle, you referred to the stock as a point of reference when aiming. I ask in particular regarding bullpups with rectangular shaped stocks, such as the L85 and the M17S (both the Bushmaster and K&M versions). The M17S in particular has a very wide stock, and I must wonder if that provides any difficulties or discomfort.

Zach Burke

What are your thoughts on pistol caliber carbines, especially AR pattern ones, both as a training tool with cheaper ammunition, and their practicality outside of a training environment?

Call me Lilly, Lilith if ya Nasty.

*have asked this question once before* Dear Karl; what are the practical and technical differences between Red Dot sights, Reflex sights, Holographic sights and Prismatic sights.

Matthew Jackson

One thing that you'd get from a match that you definitely don't get from Appleseed is the dynamic element. Speaking as an Appleseed Instructor, I'd say that Appleseed is focused on fixed positions and marksmanship, in the same general tradition as NRA Highpower or CMP. While Appleseed has a 'good enough' mentality that is much more suited to practical applications than those disciplines, and many practical/match shooters could benefit from the fundamentals we teach, they aren't that directly comparable.

Matthew Jackson

Are bottlenecked, high-velocity, spitzer bullets for pistols and PDWs (FN's 5.7 , HK's 4.6, maybe .22 TCM) a dead end, the future, or doomed to be a niche application?

Thomas Bobay

I was referring more to the Highpower and CMP-style matches than practical/dynamic shooting matches. Wondering if having a match winner/ ranking matters or if the time stress/ people watching you has the same effect.

Almeida

New to 3gun/2gun. I try to be practical minded with everything I do but like to use a fal or ptr91. So far I have done well with both rifles and find that both fit me extremely well and feel very natural to use for me. Is my fascination with the rifles blinding me or is it possible to really compete with ar15s in limited division since there is no heavy division here.

Nick Champlin

How does the ATF feel about using a registered auto sear in a weapon it was not originally designed for?

Adam G.

Thoughts on the mini 14/30 as a defensive or competition rifle?

Rory Nelson

Have you ever considered a side charging upper for your WWSD rifles? If you haven't, why not?

Stephen Woods

In regards to Ian's Chauchat LMG have you considered that giving it's intended use, as an fire suppressing assault weapon, that it's inaccuracy is not a fault but rather a design feature? After all firing from the waist is not exactly a precision aiming technique.

London Jolly

What's the strangest set-up you've seen someone run at a match?

Martin Bryn Wingaard

You're going to war, and you have to pick one rifle. For some inexplicable reason, it has to be a bolt-action rifle, but you are not limited to historical military rifles. You can pick any modern action, barrel, stock, scope, anything as long as it is a bolt-action. What setup do you choose and why?

Adam Mangiardi

I am repeating this question. Do you think that cartridges like 50 Beowulf have any application in modern combat?

Alexandru Ianu

Any updates on the search for RSC 1917 clips (or Ian's quest to find a 1918)?

Daniel VanBuskirk

Would you consider an episode where you compare a Colt, S&W, Ruger, and Dan Wesson double action revolvers? The polymer crowd might not be aware of the differences and benefit from the episode. You're shows are the highlight of my viewing time, please keep up the great work, Dan

Giovanni B. Ponzetto

Kids have grown, and now I feel safe having a pistol at home. apart from teaching them safe handling (done already), what would you consider "adequate" precautions for having a pistol at home, and for storing it when going away without bringing it with you? (European, not wimpish)

Jamie Bowkett

If the .224 Valkyrie turns out to be all it's cracked up to be with with 1000+ yard accuracy, with the added simplicity of only changing the barrel and bolt carrier on a standard MSR15. Do you think this would be a viable round for the Military to adopt?

Sean Gallagher

how tight are the wwsd rifle fit mating up aluminum upper to polymer lowers. (upper lower play or wobble)

Alex

With technology advancing as a rapid pace, how far back in time would you have to go for modern US infantry to have a significant advantage over US infantry at that time? For example modern infantry would have a significant advantage over ww1 infantry but would they have an advantage over American infantry from the Vietnam era? Only taking infantry into consideration not AirPower or modern recon abilities just a gun fight. Does this technological advancement mean much in a gunfight?

Probably Satan

I like InRange in large part because of you, the presenters. What sort of non firearm related hobbies do you have, or previously had?

Ian Seifert

Do non-wipe suppressors wear out with use? Is there a difference in lifespan on rifle suppressors or pistol suppressors?

Joseph Roberts

I was wandering what your guys take is on optics being integrated into fire control systems i.e tracking point rifles.

Shawn Adams

Are we going to be getting any new "Old West Vignette" in the near future?

Eamon B

What kind of pocket knifves do you two carry? I could see Ian with something old-school and French, like an Opinel or Douk-Douk.

Jeffrey

I'm not them, obviously, but get an M1 Carbine and a Hi Power.

Jeffrey

What sort of "smart" features on a near-future rifle do you think would actually be useful in a combative or competitive environment? Round counters, ballistic calculators, toaster overs...etc?

Dag Tronstad

Hmm.. First rule of making a room secure is not talking about how to make a secure room. At least publicly :-)

Duke VonMeep the 2nd

Curious to know what techniques either of you observed with revolvers in close combat, like the ECQC class Karl took or some of the Krav Maga stuff Ian practiced. It seems like the obvious one is jam the barrel in the threat's chest and pull the trigger but are their any recommended ways to strike with a revolver if needed?

Ed Motlin

Karl, going back to WWII snipers, what would you consider the best secondary issue/rare sniper of WWII? Things like the M1941 USMC version of the ‘03 Springfield, the P14 Enfields used in the early years, or even the Swiss K31s.

Brion Brigman

Red dot with magnifier or low power variable scope if you only had one AR15. Thank you

Ryan R Wunderlich

Re-asking barrel question: Given from the Faxon Q&As that all else being equal a properly heat treated and destressed lightweight profile or heavyweight profile barrel will open up from cold bore to hot bore accuracy about the same amount, do heavyweight barrels offer any meaningful advantages like the number of shots it takes to go from "cold bore" to "hot bore"? And relatedly, do bolt on barrel heat dissipators make any meaningful difference in barrel performance in that or any other regard?

Seth Nelson

What are your experiences with red dot optics vs. holographic? I would like to know your personal insights on whether the extra pretty things in the sight picture are worth the cost of battery life.

Kenny VanCleave

On your WWSD build, What was the BCG you ended up with and what did the total weight end up being? Cost for the rifle?

Joe_K

Any plans on doing a destructive test till failure of the Carbon Fiber MLOK handguard on your WWSD Carbine? Suggesting you mount it on a cheapo stripped upper with no barrel or gas block, or a completely trashed barrel. Really would like to see the level of damage this product can hold up to.

Do you think additive metal (inconel, titanium etc ) 3d printing could change the way firearms are made, especially in the future when these printers are in peoples homes?

Scott Holland

In your opinion, what would be the semi-auto rifle to have in a restrictive state such as California? KelTec SU-16, Mini14, Garand...?

Scott Walworth

The Germans say that the riflemen support the machine gun (the primary weapon in their squad) vs the MG supporting the riflemen, as in other armies; reality or simply symantecs?

james Kachman

Why are flip-magnifiers 3x or 6x? What power would you choose if you could?

Andrew Donoghue

Does the pistol still have a role for front line, rifle using, combatants? Could it not be replaced with more rifle ammunition?

James Ludovici

I am interested in competition like your 2G-ACM you have out West in Arizona, how can I find these kind of events near me? It seems everything I can find even semi local is bench rest marksmanship, or similar.

Herk

If fluted chambers were effective (H&K certainly thought they were) then why haven't they been used on more designs (perhaps a good question for your next chat with Faxon)?

koyote

An excellent condition type 56 is $300 to $400 nowdays. Assuming the quality available in the price range, do you think the SKS is still better than a $399 AR or a $500 IO AK build? How viable is the SKS as a good milsurp rifle for actual range time or matches? Have you seen anyone run an SKS in a match? As americans, we really look down on 10 round fixed magazines, but my experience says the SKS outshoots the stock lower end AK. Thanks -- Christof-

Choppah

With "firearms", like the Fostech Origin SBV, allowing for a compact weapon with an adjustable gas system to use a variety of shotgun ammunition; What are your opinions on mag fed, semi auto shotguns for self defense and on 12 gauge as a combat cartridge?

Brian Herzog

Did early gunsmiths figure out barrel twist rates with mathematics or just trial and error? And how narrow is the window for stabilizing different bullet weights from the same barrel: 55 grain vs. 75 grain in 5.56, 125gr .38 special vs. 180gr .357 magnums, and even something like a Pedersen Device in a 1903?

Kyle Dumond

You guys spot any Black Friday Anti-Deals (worthless or over priced items) we can all laugh at?

Mark

Just curious whether you're still considering doing the spring replacement 'tutorial' on the Luger. You said in a Q&A a while ago that you were putting the idea in the queue.

Scott Goeller

Do you believe the 1911 platform (in a world of polymer double stacks} is still a "viable" weapons platform, be it for self defense, Law Enforcement, or Military use?

Aaron Willhoite

With France adopting the HK416 will there be a domestically produced model in France? Does France have the ability or even an arms factory to produce firearms currently? Also though hostilities between Germany and France are over 70 years old does it make sense to have a former enemy be the sole producer of your states firearms?

Michael

Has learning to pick locks improved your trigger control or any other skill as a result of developing extremely fine motor control?

Bryan Bolivar

Is learning to shoot long guns with iron sights first, before graduating to magnified optics, important? If so, why? What fundamental marksmanship skills are learned with irons that can't be learned with a scope?

collin simpson

what period correct accessory would you have issued to standard troops in Vietnam for their M-16 A1s flash light, night sights, two point sling, ect? excluding cleaning kits.

Chaplain Chawley

Hey guys keep up the good work and have a happy Thanksgiving! I was curious as to where you acquire your 77gr range ammo? None of the local stores carry it and the only stuff I find on the usual online stores with heavier bullets is of the “match” variety... it seems like FMJ 77s are something of a unicorn

James Mitts

I would someday like to go to one of the 2GACME matches you put on. As a California resident I would like to know what my options for renting either a whole 2 gun setup or at least larger capacity magazines for any guns I bring. Thanks!

Spot Spotterson

Based on what you've seen and used, is there any practical difference in using a four inch barrel compared to a five or more inch barrel in two gun competitions? I know a longer sight radius can make precision shooting "easier" but in competition, does it ever really matter? Or, is the limiting factor the skill of the shooter with that particular weapon? Have you ever seen someone compete with a 3-ish inch barrel pistol?

George McKinney

What are the advantages of steel cased ammunition? (other than price)

Wyatt HIll

What are your favorite books about the Eastern Front of WW2?

Whatismoo

Economic considerations aside, do you think there's any merit into higher-velocity lower-caliber pistol rounds? Something in the .25-30 caliber range hopped up to have the muzzle energy of 9mm? I've heard that magazine capacity and shot placement matter more than "stopping power", and small caliber high velocity rounds are quite common in rifles.

Peter Shone

Karl and Ian, Greetings from the UK and thank you so much for putting the effort in producing such a high volume of quality firearms content. As a relatively new patron this is my first Q&A submission but I'll try to keep it as concise as possible. Your WWSD and Jim Sullivan videos show the effective firepower of the AR-15 can be greatly increased through simple changes like large mags and bipods, especially at ranges 200+ yds thanks to new optics technologies. Do you see the AR-15 replacing the SAW/LMG in modern military combat? Could it be replaced by something like a selectfire AR-10 if the AR-15 can deliver such high volumes of fire at long range? Maybe even a semi-auto chambered in .388 lapua, .300 win mag or .50 bmg, thus giving extreme penetration and range capabilies to a squads designated marksman.

Alex Auman

Not so much a question as a comment, but I recently got a Canik TP9 (the one without the decocker). I have several handguns from Glock 19/26, CZ75, M&Ps, Beretta 92FS and this Canik shoots better in my hands than any of my others. I can hit 70 yard, 12 inch targets with very little effort. And for only $300 it is incredible and the trigger is fantastic. Just thought it might be a neat gun for Inrange to try out.

Jasper Welsch

It seems that American made AKs are known for having problems. What can't US companies master mid-20th Century Communist manufacturing?

Benjamin L

Would Karl be willing to go a little more depth into his "Alpha" AK 74 clone? What parts does he use, and are they worth it? Thanks!

Pavel Sergeev

If you were forced to fight in a real Rattenkrieg type urban battle (e.g. Stalingrad, Grozny) , which one firearm would you bring? Would you choose your WWSD rifles, a different rifle, or something else entirely like a shotgun or a LMG? If you had to use one of the WWSD rifles, what changes would you make to make it more effective for door-to-door type city combat? (No legal restrictions in this case). Would you keep the pencil barrel or opt for a heavier barrel?

Patriot

Have you ever played Dungeons and Dragons?

LowKey

Are either of you familiar with the steel framed EAA Witness (manufactured by Tanfoglio), and if so what are your opinions of them? (this question a holdover from last month)

Iain Hutchinson

What do you recommend keeping in an individual first aid kit? Corollary question: what do you then keep in the trauma bag?

Iain Hutchinson

Repeat question, worded more clearly: "Do you feel that there is any value in the terminal ballistics of larger caliber rounds such as .450 bushmaster or .458 SOCOM."

Jon B

Is it possible to rent or borrow gear for the matches you guys participate in? I don’t live in the USA but would love to shoot a 2 gun match

david weilbaecher jr

have yall liked participating in primary and secondary modcasts? learn anything? will yall keep appearing? [when p&s appeared with inrange, i started watching/listening to p&s--now, it is almost every day]

Andrey

Hello, Karl and Ian. This one is more for Karl. Considering your comments on your 'specialist AK' that you gave to P&S, would you say that something like AK-Alfa by Kalashnikov Israel/USA would be (or at least seems) a better gun than '90% Russian' loadout (Israeli gun fetures extensive use of polymers, KeyMod attachment system and supposedly some weight reduction in bolt carrier group ).

Andrey

Or Dark Heresy.... Or GURPS... or FATE :)

Sam Willis

Karl, I know very little about the current net neutrality debate and I have heard compelling arguments either way. In your opinion, what is the best argument against net neutrality and why is it wrong. Is it possible for a digital bill of rights to deal with this issue in a nuanced way that addresses concerns from those on either side

Two huskies in a trench coat

Ian has on many occasions mentioned how double stack single feed mags are inferior to double feed mags; why then do most modern service pistols utilize a single feed mag?

Chris Gunawan

Since we're seeing the trend of making weapons lighter, can the same be said about load bearing vests, chest rigs and the like? I've noticed that drop leg holsters seem to be going away in favor of "war belt" setups.

breadswonders

Do you think that NATO will ever standardize on a new type of ammunition (like caseless ammo) before soldiers are almost completely replaced by machines on the battlefield? The same question can be extended to countries like Russia and China.

Andreas Nohl

His arguments where pro net neutrality; And I can’t see any valid argument against it. Do you really want only access to parts of the internet a company grant you? You would never see sings against that company, never advertisements for a cheaper one, only the politics they want you to see/believe and you would likely never know what you don’t know. In such a way you could be manipulated into every believe system and every day live they want you to.

Sam Willis

Streaming video will suffer a temporary reduction in quality or have to buffer if data is dropped whereas other applications like games will lag and time out, and phone calls will become unintelligible. So companies should be able to prioritize the applications that are more sensitive to data loss( games, voice and video chat) over those less so(streaming video) -This is not my position just a paraphrase of some arguments that I’ve heard against net neutrality and I was wondering if these hold any water or are just total bs.

Andreas Nohl

They answer that- would allow suppressors

Steppin' Razor

Karl, apologies for the long question. With the current panic about access to cyberspace, what do you think are potential alternatives to reliance on large corporations with existing infrastructure? Would it be possible for people to effectively build distributed networks utilizing less resource intensive infrastructure and have connection as good or better than we have become accustomed to? How would a layman go about doing their part in creating something like this?

Andreas Nohl

Hallo Sam Willis. I see your answer only in an E-mail not here: But I think that is also no argument. Both, the amount of data and the speed transporting this data have increase over the time and all the time (I can think of) was the demand for transport bigger than the capability. I can seen a bigger profit and more power over there customer, for the companies, if the kill the net neutrality but nothing else. Because if they do so, you wouldn’t be able to get the infos if the speed would be greater in other parts of the world with more competition to get faster hardware.

James Healy

For those of us with astigmatism issues making red dots into blurry messes, are there any other options for zero eye relief sights worth trying? I have asked before but if the answer is an easy no, I'm happy to hear that here rather than making you put it in a video.

James Healy

Good question! Also, love your defcon talks.

James Healy

I believe they've stated that it adds weight, adds a point for dirt etc to enter the gun, and provides no real advantage. Could be wrong but I think I remember Karl talking about it.

James Healy

Would be interested in the answer to this as bolt guns are (mostly) what I can access.

James Healy

Just my 2c but I think modern training would make up a bigger part of the difference.

James Healy

Opinels are great and widely underappreciated, wish I could carry one.

Eamon B

Why can't you? Do you live somewhere with laws about locking blade folders?

James Healy

Ian shot a .223 Valmet at red oktober this year and it did great, they both seemed to love it. Vids are just going up over the last week or so.

James Healy

You can pick the boogers up with a magnet on a stick? (kidding, good question)

Deviant Ollam

Thanks, James! I imagine the bullet shape answer will have to with ballistics relating to the relative low velocity compared to cross-section and thus they don't warrant what may be additional machining costs. (Indeed, the most notable exception in this space is FN's 5.7 round, which is uncharacteristically small yet fast.)

Sam Willis

Like I said I don’t know much about the technical aspects of this but I’m specifically interested in whether or not a middle ground is possible where companies could choose to prioritize certain types of content but not specific sources. For example YouTube could not be prioritized over Full30 but all streaming video could be somewhat throttled in favor of gaming if that’s what that specific isp wants to cater to. Maybe this is impossible or just a bad idea, it would be interesting to hear Karl’s perspective, but I appreciate you taking the time to respond. To be clear I understand and agree with the concerns of losing net neutrality and if the middle ground I mentioned was not possible then I would be fully in support of net neutrality as it is. I don’t think we should clog up this thread with this subject any more though, is there a way to dm through Patreon?

Casey

Do you believe an AR Pistol is viable for home defense with the right equipment (flash light, doing, suppressor if viable, etc...)? What is the best ammo for a shorter barrel?

Paul Montanari

Ive asked a few times but I have a question on LMGs. With the M27iar replacing the M249 in most roles how does it compare in practice and doctrine to other rifles with similar roles like the RPK, RPK 74 and others. Side by side match comparison in the future???

MattC10/63

What’s is the approximate round count of the WWSD rifles?

James Healy

Melbourne, Australia, I'm technically not even allowed the smallest swiss army knife. It's up to police and whether they find you to have a "valid reason" for carrying it.

Campbell Homer

Is there any significant benefit between different types of foregrips, such as angled foregrips, magwell grips, hand stops, etc.?

Laurence Rosen

What concerns (someone hacking to see if there is anything valuable inside?) would you have about including inside facing security cameras vs outside only cameras as part of a home security system?

Tyler Reardon

Do you think that this lul we have in the firearm innovation has to do with laws (how hard and expensive it is for a regular person to make something full auto) and the way the world views firearms? Or more just a lack of improvements out there

Christopher I. Blake

What would you recommend as decent entry level equipment (video, audio, editing) for someone wanting to do YouTube gun reviews?

TK

With 3D printing on the rise and the clips for various old military surplus rifles becoming more difficult to obtain, do you think that it is a viable option to print clips? If you do think it's an acceptable option, would you run a match, or do a video similar to your PGO Shotgun video where you test 3D printed clips against their metal counterparts?

TK

Canik vs Hudson at the two gun match?

Alex Auman

Not them obviously, but recoil guns tend to be more finicky with ammo and normally are heavier because of the lack of solid lock work. Gas allows for greater range in ammo pressure and doesn't have to have as beefy a bolt because it is in a locked state.

Alex Auman

I'd be curious what Karl's thoughts would be on the Canik vs the Beretta 92 are. He seems to like the 92 a lot.

Alex Auman

I have astigmatism and I have a red dot. At first it was super blurry, but after I got used to it, it went away.

Michael Batza

Thanks for making some of the most informative videos on youtube and other platforms. My question: thoughts on the new 224 valkyrie cartridge?

Alex

But how far back would we have to go to see a significant difference

Alex Auman

Hi Karl and Ian, I was wondering if there were any legitimate gun control compromises that you might favor. For instance, I think if we had the option to get back NFA items in exchange for universal background checks, I would be willing to make that deal so long as UBCs weren't overzealous.

Kepler Kramer

For match settings how important do you feel co-witnessed iron sights are for a slide mounted reflex sight such as the Delta Point Pro?

Kyle K

With regards to mech any thoughts on making stickers/decals? I've love to slap a stamp of hubris on my stuff

Elling Polden

Do you think that we will see pistol designs change as a result of the introduction of red dot sights? Would a solid frame pistol (in the vein of the broomhandle) have an advantage with a red dot, or is the disadvantages of having the RD on a moving slide to miniscule to matter?

Russell Stroud

Would you recommend a GWACS/Cav arms ar-15 lower for a first time AR buyer?
