Hello awesome supporters!

We'll have Jari and a few others from the Varusteleka team out here for this month's Q&A!

So, please start providing your questions now:

1 question, please, and phrase it as a single sentence.

I apologize for that restriction, but we get so many questions that we can never get to them all and by keeping them down to 1 question per person and restricted to a single sentence it makes it a bit more viable.  :)

Thank you very much!

~Karl

Given what we know about infantry combat, would the United States have been better off keeping the 30-40 krag round? Would the M1 Garand design have been better in 30-40? I know Ian found the .276 Garand prototype lighter and handier than the 30-06 M1.

Do you think that your What Stonner Would Do rifles have the same problem as the orginal they are not strong enough for 25 years of harsh service and will probably fall apart and need to be replaced like the existing M-16 based rife and the Pig.

Deviant Ollam

Tarah wants to ask "will you bring another bottle of Salimiakki if you're visiting Vegas for SHOT? Deviant and I are almost out of it in our bar." (Deviant editorial note: while we are almost out of it, I cannot claim to be the one drinking most of it. When she reaches for the licorice on a windy and rainy night when we have a cold, I will be usually found drinking becherovka or akavit) ;-)

Sean William OMalley

IF you find the above one sentence question to obscure.... All of the M-16 based rifes seem to be weak because the are light. The AK-47's of various epoc's seem to last until a new rifle is needed. The stoner based rifles do not. Now the US has to money to replace rifles when they fail but seem unable to do so. Forgoten weapons did an issue on the Pig where it was pointed out that a lot of the problems with the pig were the result it not withstanding the continual pounding that a service wapons face. I think that an in IRange pointed out that a lot of the bad press M-16 based rifles had was because troops were being issued with trashed rifles. Now this is not an issue with civilian use but any military use gone might need and extra pound of two of metal to survive in service till it needs to be replace. IE I don't think you are considering military levels of abuse for the WWSD rifle.

Deviant Ollam

That's... amazingly specific. You're either writing a remarkable novel or a Miss Phryne Fisher fan-fiction set in the Australian Outback.
