it does! he pulled up a picture of howie and himself before he started writing last night and grinded for hours. im pretty sure his inspiration is their love story! (and im ALSO pretty sure the very first lines of this story from the prologue are a part of said essay! i suspect its a forwards/backwards poem as well, so it means one thing when read forward line by line and means something else when read backwards line by line. but these are just my fan theories 😁)
