To be fair to Molly, as much as we’ve joked about it so far, it wasn’t necessarily just “oh look, they’re both gay!” when she mentioned it. Cody also shared a lot of similar interests to Howie and they’re also STEM majors. That being said, when Howie didn’t seem keen she should have taken the hint and left it alone.

I think Sooch’s guilty response was out of the fact that he didn’t outright say he wasn’t Howie when he recognized it was the person Molly wanted to set Howie up with. He probably felt bad for butting in, and possibly even thought Cody was flirting with him because he thought he was Howie (and not because he’s a cute patoot with apparently pretty eyes per Cody’s response 👀)
