*EDIT - This is more about feeling the tides and internal testing, ain't planning any harsh move.

Guys, I'm preparing here, double preparing for both hits, considering payment processors are in open war against freedom of creativity AND some worrying news in my own country.

If the worst happens, I believe Bitcoin is the way to go, we're talking per customer selling and/or alternative platforms.

I have already a Standard Bitcoin Wallet (the slow one, safest one, self host) and a Lightning Satoshi Wallet (3rd party but fast and on the phone for daily use), and I believe that sooner or later we all will be using it...

For those who don't know, Bitcoin (BTC) is the BIG MONEY a takes more time to finish the procedures, like checks but in minutes or hours depending on the network, while Lightning (Satoshi - SATS) it is more like cents, these digital wallets usually can send the money based on current money, like sending 5 USD, converting it automatically, and it arrives in seconds - and some wallets even allow you to add funds in it from you own currency.

How prepared are we?

I've been watching it for over a decade, it seems solid, too many chain enthusiasts keeping it all backed up, even if we get a global EMP it would be reestablished. My country had a 30% real devaluation in its currency only last year, my emergency savings were screwed...

Of the crypto I would say bitcoin is probably the way to go. Personally not into it myself and I am skeptical (probably because I’m slow with change) but I’m prepared to take the fight to the payment processors. Their job is to process payment. Not to enforce politics and tell me what I can and can’t buy.

Meaningless Theories

Crypto is not an avenue i personally want to pursue, but if the forces at work insist on going Shimoneta, then BTC is only solves half the problem as the product itself will be deplatformed every time the almighty VISA threatens a server farm

Will never engage with crypto, personally. If shit hits the fan and you have to move to crypto, tough luck. You will lose a lot of your followers over it, me included. It sucks yeah, but it is what it is. Many people won't bother going thru the hoops or have enough interest in this to betray their own principles.

Bmtbguy

It's not called "move" when they kick you out when you did nothing wrong, it is not about principles, it is about surviving.

You have to do what you have to do.... I get it.... but I won't be involved with crypto. Sorry.

Malesor

Obviously when I spoke of principles, I was referring to your patrons, not yourself. I understand it's a tough situation for you. But people have their own beliefs, biases, and principles. Of course you can't expect everyone to just jump onto Crypto just for some giantess artworks, that's an absurd notion to have. I'm just being realistic here, in case you weren't aware. The majority of the poll results here is in the same boat as me.

Yes, I understand, I believe that keeping the current working conditions is ideal too, I don't want to force anyone, this is more about feeling the tides. I've learned to test new possibilities before strikes... even Patreon was a no go at a moment (internal rumors leaking etc) but hey, we're still here, right? Let's hope everything keeps working.

Bmtbguy

No problem, this is more about feeling the tides ATM, ain't planning any harsh move.

I will stay away from Crypto, if there is no other way to pay, It will be a sad day.

I’m not confident enough in crypto either. While it’s definitely had more legitimacy than the nft and ai spaces it’s still something I’m wary of.
