Admittedly not the best decision to skip a mind drop on the date that matches the next Mind drop number (43, 04/03)But here we are. A good number of people mentioned that communication has really broken down as of late and I want to remedy that by starting the Mind drops back up. And hey, I'm fucking with the timeline of the game, let's also fuck with the timeline of the Mind Drops.(Mind Drop #43 will still be posted a few days before the update drops)

So, let's talk about some stuff.What's delaying it now dev wise?The honest answer is there's a lot of indecisiveness on my end.My goal with every large update is to give you the best experience you've ever had with the game. It's been tough to reach that bar in my head since there's a pretty drastic change to how days go and I'm not comfortable with the style yet as it's still new to me.It's hard to talk further without going into light spoilers so please skip ahead if you'd like to avoid little hints at what the update will be like.This new style cuts a lot of "filler" in the days. Things are overall more bottled and the game has less dull moments and is more action packed... which has honestly led me to worrying there's too much sex in this update. The best in-game comparison is more so how Day 1 plays out. Where it's a lot of quick sex with some stuff happening in-between that sets up the next quick sex. After the exhibition game... there's a bit of a lull in the story for reasons I can't go deep into. And that skews it further into the sex filled pipeline.  Which... it's a sex game so awesome right?Well... I mostly agree but it's just a bit too skewed for me right now. My current solution has been to go back and add small scenes with lesser involved girls. Sometimes just a render or two with dialogue that says "You spend some time with Ruby and Moon", etc.Gets others involved while not bloating up the days or fucking up the story.The delays have recently been caused because of a lot of little changes like that, that will drastically change the feel of the update. I chose the least spoilery one to present as an example but there's been a ton of stuff like that.Furthermore, it's been really tough deciding which scenes to include now and which scenes to push to the next update.There's really not much I can say on this without getting very spoilery. But like I've said I have a huge headstart on the next update as I moved a ton of scenes to the future a while ago and it's just been tough to decide which ones to include now or later.What's delaying it personal wise?I briefly mentioned that there's been a lot going on that I haven't been able to talk about.Well, I talked to my wife about it as she's part of all of this and I stopped sharing as she didn't like me telling too much. (But she is okay with me sharing this bit.)Which she has a very good reason not to want to share. There's some fucking weirdos out there. 99.9% of you guys are lovely but all it takes is 1 dumb fuck to ruin it all and make me hide everything.In February me, my wife, my kid, and my grandpa all had to pack up and move again because of some weird events happening at our new house at the time. (That started early January)I can't confirm if it was caused by me sharing stuff publicly or if it was just some creep that happened to target us. But, around the same time our old house (the first, crappy one) was broken into and vandalized and it was too much for me to not fear for the safety of my family. We were able to move somewhere that is much safer overall and I installed a pretty rad home security system. So it hasn't been a problem since but as a new father whose number 1 goal is to protect my family. I'll admit it was very difficult to focus and even still now, every little noise I'm checking everything out.Chances are the events were unrelated and we just had a creep harass us since my wife happens to be a very attractive woman and creeps seem to flock to them. But I wasn't taking any chances and what I share will still be very limited.That's been the biggest thing but definitely not the only thing and I don't really want to go further than that.It's not really an excuse for the delays, more so to just why communication has broken down recently and I do apologize for not handling it better. This also isn't for sympathy, everyone's fine and I trust my ability to protect my family. I just want you guys to know why I've been so vague as of late. It was never anything malicious. How much longer?This is a question that I sadly can not answer. The only thing I can say is that I'm working on it at minimum 11-12 hours a day and it will be out the second that it is ready.I want to give a timeline but those haven't been working out for me and I'm trying to piss people off less hahaWhat about other patreon stuff like the polls and bday renders?I do plan on putting out some other stuff this month but I don't want to commit to any dates or any amount as I'm still focused on the update. Though I will say I've been working on some bday renders whenever I get stuck on some of the timeline rewriting. So I should have a batch to share of those soon.Why don't you hire help?This is a question I've answered a few times before but it's popped up a lot recently so let me give an updated answer:I am an awful work leader. I have held managerial positions at entry jobs before and I am someone who will take the hardest work and then do the most work at the same time and try to make it as easy as possible for everyone else. I am someone that is likely to be taken advantage of.I am shit at hitting deadlines for this game but my work ethic isn't something I'll ever doubt. And I also don't know anyone I trust enough to hire right now anyway.I also don't really want to ever relinquish parts of the game I like doing... which is most of it. Besides things like organizing and photo editing. The only thing I could imagine actually hiring for is a programmer to do some of the things I'm too dumb to do, and someone to create a soundtrack / effects for the game and implement them.Also real quick, I just know some people will claim I'm trying to be a perfectionist but promise me, I'm not. This update will not be perfect and I'm cool with that. It's just getting it to a place that I'm happy with. It's a new style and it's taking some time to find my spot within it. Okay, that was a lot and still wasn't a normal mind drop so oopsie. Returning to the normal format this Friday. (Would've today but I wasn't tracking renders and I don't want to spend the time to count them up right now.)Thank you guys so much for believing in me and sticking around. I don't care about the amount of $ because tbh I make more than I should doing what I do but it is amazing to see the amount of people stick by my side through all of this stuff. the game is great dont compromise on things your not sure about its your game make it the way you want, if it takes a bit longer then so be it , im here for the game its self the story and the art im loving it , but its your story to tell so tell it how you need to ill be here till its complete and then ill see what you do next . as for the family side of thngs look after them if you need more time with them do so family are the mos important thing ever , anyway much love to you and your family stay safe and dont stress aboout the game .

Hey man. I really appreciate you taking the time to update us all and explaining what has been going on. You don’t need to stress out about how things are skewed and go into detail about why it is that way. I doubt anyone will notice and or care lmao. As long as this update is ready and you feel good about it, that is all we ask for. Take care of what you need to take care of. Also don’t push yourself. I know you wanted this to be out earlier, but don’t crunch yourself. Take some time for your family and we know it will be done eventually. This is literally the best vn on the market right now. If we didn’t love this game as much as you do we wouldn’t be here. Be proud of what you made and know that we will be here through good times and bad just to play what you have made.

i am really excited for the timeline change and new update i have played through it twice already and really wanna check out the diffrences but ofc dont stress on our account your being good and healthy gives us more in the long run so good luck and love your stuff :)

A few things: You make it the way you want and we will play it. As a husband/father myself, I understand the issues. Last thing, why don't you let the wife help when she can, with whatever she can. Writing, helping with rendering or whatever. In any case, thanks for the update and take care of the family and yourself first.

She actually helped organize and edit when she was pregnant lol But now she's a full time mom / wife and the last thing she wants to do when I relieve her of duty is to have to do work haha. (Not to say she's lazy or anything. She does more mom work so I can do this kind of work and we both give each other breaks throughout the day.)

If the only thing you could hire for is a programmer, you should do that. That way you keep complete creative control and can let go at least some of the grunt work. Also, you never know if someone will take advantage of you unless you take a chance but luckily, you’re in charge so you can just let them go if you feel they aren’t earning their money.

If you want a team to help, you don't have to be the person managing things. You can maintain creative control without having to be the person delegating tasks and ensuring the team is operating smoothly. That's a skill you can hire out too. It's also relatively common for software development teams to be self-organizing, without any manager.

Family security comes first. That's a big job to fill. Then, sure, kinda hard to decide which secondary girl to include during the day. Might be an idea depending on the day events to see some that are in the area. So it might help you schedule the day. Or do their course schedule, cheers schedule, team schedule, will help you with the events and help you gauge what to include in a day and the update (if it's not done already). It's just a suggestion, do what you think will be best for you.

This is great communication. Thank you and I am sorry you felt your family wasn’t safe. Even an update like this to say, I am working, here is some of the stuff I am doing, is great. DPC doesn’t put out updates but every 4-6 months, but we get insights from him about what is happening weekly. It lets us feel like we are part of the development process. I must admit I am disappointed you don’t have a timeline on the update. For being so sure it would hit before March 31, but having us vote on a “fail safe” plan just in case, it’s concerning that you can’t say “I think I am a week or so away.” If there was THAT much more to be done, you should have known on or before March 31 was never realistic. I’ve suggested before, and will keep suggesting, consider indefinitely delaying further updates after this one. Sounds like you have a great head start on them, which is awesome, but I worry you will continue to run into timeline issues until you redo the timeline line week one the way you want it. It is obvious this redo is is much more than changing some dialogue and dick size. Get your foundation where you want it, then focus on building up. Doing both at once doesn’t seem to be working for you.

I think it was great with what was doing. The sec is not too much and more is always great as long as don't take away from the story. But that is just my opinion. I just hope it still has the captivating story I feel in love with that keeps me coming back to pay it over and over. But like I said more sex is good and variety of which girls is always a plus. More to had that get to share the Mc the better.

Dude, you and your family’s safety comes first. So don’t apologize about that. When you had the vote for the amount of content for the next release I voted for the next day (with the scrimmage) because I feel like you need to really get back into the groove of releasing updates on a regular basis. And breaking that up a bit would have accomplished that. I’m sure just getting a complete update out is going to do wonders for you mentally and motivationally. Especially, since it sounds like you’re done with that first day and are struggling with timelines in the following week.

Family comes first, and I will continue to support you, but I think you should reconsider releasing day 10(now 31) before the rest of the update. I sincerely believe it would alleviate some of the pressure.

game is awesome. do whatever you need to do to make it awesome. and take care of yourself while doing it. if putting a timeline on it stresses you out, try not to do it for your mental health. if there's a reasonable timeline you can give without stressing yourself to hell I would love that PS. I would like to request more creampies. your game does them in an awesome style

I had a stalker once I can relate I was nice to a lady in chat from 4 states away and (I still don't know how she found me) she shows up at my house, then my kids school, started telling people I slept with her and she's pregnant, you get the drift. You can't be too careful and it's never someone you'd think would be that way. Just ignore the trolls and work at your pace and satisfaction the best work is always the slowest! I can tell from the beta that you've filled out the plot even better than before I fully plan on starting over from the beginning so I can enjoy all the changes!

Just a little suggestion if you need “fillers”. While mc is resting or whatever, showing some girls doing their stuff (x cooking, y cleaning, z showering….). You can reuse some of the renders in various scenes and not waste time creating new for each filler.

I know you have your hands full, but if you want extra security, why not get yourself a four legged friend? Something like an American Pit or mastiff. No-one will approach your wife if she's walking a protective canine like that. Also no thief would even think about breaking into a house with a pittie or a mastiff guarding it. That would be a very painful mistake.
