I got more liberties with this one, which made it super fun honestly! I really like the outcome.

-> I made 4 custom procreate brushes for the chamomile flowers. Would you want them? If yes I'll upload and you can use them however you want.

Concept:Very rough as usual. Started with an idea top left and stopped when I realized it didn't look how I wanted it to (heads closer). For recurring commissioners I tend to put in a bit more effort and hence made different concept ideas. One more sensual since the characters are slightly toxically dependent on each other; one involving cooking since that's their main bonding method; and one simply in a field of flowers - which we ultimately chose. Sketches:First sketch based on the references I had (which were pony only).

I didn't have clothing references, so I just added an apron. The feedback was to switch to another kind of apron and to let the hair down. Additionally, the woman on the right was supposed to have a more positive gaze.

Lines:No way was I gonna draw each flower separately, so I made some brushes/stamps. The grass is a mix of different brushes I found. First version (+ human version closeup):Second version with corrected hands and the idea to make the border in a chamomile flower shape.

Base colors:  Final pieces:Colored linework, shadows and details added  Layer structure:Ideally I would have made all shadows a separate layer so I could easily duplicate it for the two versions - alas I forgot for most! The dress shadows I remembered and could easily copy over and change color and layer settings. The skin shadows I transferred from the human to the changeling version by copying the layer, turning it black and white and setting it to multiply. The hair I copied from the human version as is and just adjusted the color and saturation.

Work smarter, not harder. No reason to do all shadows a second time.
