🔞Art Process // Commission Nude in Bed (Patreon)

To celebrate the end of the year and finishing all commissions, I'm making this post available to all members, including free ones! Enjoy! <3

It's the last post in the old year and thus a clean cut between commissions and the freedom to come! I'm so excited to shift to more tlt (Kiriona my love!) and mlp art (have you SEEN the new spitdash greek mythology issue???) and some other fandoms that I plan on indulging in!

And now let's get actually to the process of the piece. Enjoy!

Concept:Very rough idea that I sent with a previous commission. We picked it up now so this didn't need to be done again (and I didn't include further ideas/concepts)

Sketch:The cleaned up sketch. Had some correction done to the pubic hair and breasts since the OC has a very flat chest. I also included some basic bedding. Loved the hands - hated the feet and struggled with them. Definitely something to practice next year.

 Linework:This linework got adapted later with an open eye and adjusted face. I only realized with coloration that the face was too low for the head and hair. The open eye was a later wish/request that I incorporated since it's not a big change.

Flat Colors:I finally remembered to take a printscreen of actual flat colors, i.e. no color gradient or any added details. The two bodies are on separate layers, hair each clipped to their respective base layer.

Shadows:Not much to say, honestly. I tend to put shadows directly on the layers so it's still just the base and hair layers (plus background is separate obviously). Sometimes I color in linework before shadows - this time I did it the other way around. It doesn't make that much of a difference.

Final piece:Colored the linework, added some moody adjustments (darker color around the corners of the image) and some small color details (hair, eyes, eye closed->open) and a small general color adjustmed (saturation reduced, put a mild gradient map on the piece).
