🔞Process: Melvika Valentine's Art (Patreon)

Hi all! Here's the process for the latest Melvika art :)

! The reference image at the very bottom includes (censored) IRL nudity !

The WIP images are also in the cloud (pinned post) uncensored.

Concept Sketch:Found a nice reference photo I liked and got inspiration from. I loved the idea with a bubble bath that was suggested, but couldn't find an idea or reference I liked with it. Making them have a bath that Ambessa was in as well seemed more logical.

Refined SketchI couldn't get the identical pose as the reference image so I adjusted Mel's hands. And since Sevika smokes, Mel got to hold a cig for her. Also, the other hand would cover Sevika's tit if true to reference, and I didn't want that either.

Flat Colors (because I didn't save the linework - sorry :( )The ladies are on a separate layer, the very background on one, and then the middle background details (plant, fruits) on one.

Adjusted Flat ColorsI'm not good with color picking so I tried adjusting the hues and tone at this stage so I like it.

Soft gradients + minor details:I always add some soft gradients to the flat colors. I really like the outcome and it's easy to work with. The gradients are either a red blush on certain skin parts (face, elbow) or other parts (Sevika's back hair is darker than her top hair).

Shading:And also some more color adjustments, like making blushing more intense etc.

Lighting + Details:Added lighting to the hair, jewelry, water, plant, Sevika's Mass Effect like skin,... It's all on one layer basically. At this point I also colored in the linework.

Realize your "Valentine's Art" gives zero Valentine's or romantic vibe, so you add some more flower petals in a sudden panic:Honestly, this really made a big difference. I decided that the bowl with grapes would be suited as leftover petals. I also really liked the idea of single petals sticking to their skin - mostly Sevika who took a dive.

Colored in petals and final piece:I could have taken more time with the petals but I was working on this piece for too long that I didn't want to spend too much time on them.

References:Lots of them. IRL porn isn't allowed on Patreon and I'm not sure how much I can get away with - so the reference images below are censored for this post.

The obvious references are Sevika, Mel and the bath. As well as the bath water and rose petals.

I'm not as familiar with darker skin nudity, so I also got both a references specifically for nipples (Sevika) and lighting on very dark skin (Mel) too. Not sure I captured it that well, but I still like the end result.
