🎴XXI - the World: Alecto&Nona (TLT Tarot) // WIP (Patreon)

General Note: All cards will be cleaned & finished up once the concept for all of the major arcana is established and I've found a comfy routine in CSP . The font and banner/decoration are also placeholders for now.

I don't have as many different references besides the many tarot card examples. I knew I wanted to draw Alecto and Nona as the World (even though both are in other cards as well) and in an embrace. This obviously never happened in the books, but it's what I thought of when her soul reunited with her body at the end of Nona the Ninth. I feel an embrace symbolizes her becoming full and herself again very well

References: Again, a LOT of tarot cards. You'll keep seeing them lmao. Some poses, some wreathe and then color ideas.

Initially I wanted to go for soft pink colors . I made a rose/pink thumbnail but it didn't feel right.

They're soft and nice colors, but it didn't feel like Earth or 'the World' to me, so I went with the final green/blue colors, that's more reminiscent of nature. The only thing I like in this pink version more (and that I'll try to incorporate into the final WIP) is that the wreathe really pops here.

Some initial thumbnails:I had various ideas with Nona and Alecto. The first is them both holding the world and looking at each other. The middle was Nona sitting on the tomb, looking down into the water around her and also holding a little earth in her hands. The third idea was them embracing which I changed into the final pose you see above. I wanted something more ethereal and less 'portrait' feeling that the third idea in the thumbnails gave.

Something I probably need to change is to make the wreathe larger. I definitely like the overall feel in the last thumbnail here more than the final image I put above.
