Kat Tsai Color & Light Course: Assignment 1 (updated) (Patreon)

The first week of the course is done and I got the first assignment!

I'll give a small summary of my thoughts of the course at the end of the course (so around mid February). For now, I'll just show the assignments I made :>

Week 1 covered values and keys and the first assignment was to apply our new knowledge about minor and major keys to a scene of our choice (or a photo but I prefer movies).

I first traced over the most important elements (because this assignment is about values and not about copying exactly) and then applied values accordingly. There are only four shades and no gradients. There were many adjustments until I was happy with my value piece and after that, it was adjusted for the different major and minor keys. The original is a medium Major and high minor key and all others are adjusted (either just by exposure or more light/dark area).

I'm unsure how much I'm allowed to explain so I'll leave it at that :>
