Camazotz's Ambush (Part Three) (Patreon)
Content
Inhuman howls filled the ruins as Tala trained her holy eyebeams upon her hellish enemy. The dark beast was knocked upon a massive pile of bones. Tala realized that plenty of other victims who wandered into the ruins in ages past must have been slain by Camazotz.
"Your reign of terror ends today!" screamed Tala.
His body smoking, Camazotz flapped his great leathery wings and sent a swarm of bats toward Tala. The goddess tried to keep her eyebeams on the bat god, but the bat swarm was a great distraction. Camazotz had gone back into the shadows. Tala could still feel the lord of darkness' eyes upon her.
Tala turned, her glowing eyes illuminating every corner of the chamber. Unfortunately, Camazotz struck her from behind! While she was prone, the fiendish monster sunk his fangs into one of Tala's fat buttocks. Tala fried Camazotz's fingers with her eyebeams to escape his deadly grasp. "You are a coward at heart!" Blood leaked down her leg. Although Tala was a goddess, only forces as great as Tala's own are capable of injuring or killing her. Camazotz wiped his mouth. "Your rump is delicious. Your blood is full of life!" In anger, Tala blasted the bat god again.
Camazotz flapped his wings again, producing yet another bat swarm. This time, Camazotz used the opportunity to escape and flew down a tunnel. "No! You will not escape me this time!" Tala flew after the god of darkness, chasing him down a maze of ancient dusty tunnels until she saw daylight and fresh air. Tala flew straight up to gain a better perspective of her surroundings. They emerged from a secret entrance from the main temple grounds where Tala entered. This must have been where Camazotz entered. There was no trace of the bat god himself. He is gone. No doubt to lick his wounds. Tala thought. That might be a good idea. Tala reached down to her butt cheek. No blood. It was like Camazotz never bit her. Whenever Tala does get injured by other supernatural beings, she does not remain that way for long.
Tala resealed the entrance. She would later tell her tribe to never to go to those ruins. Death awaits within.
