Although a goddess from over 500 years earlier, Talaquetzal knew of the cities that were built around her jungle lands, but avoided them. Like her tribe, she believed that they were places of evil, producing machines that Tala had to destroy whenever they encroached upon her tribe. Tala and her people also didn't want to be discovered by civilization and becoming modernized, losing their ancient ways and traditions.
