Rakeema Stokes was miserable. 

She would rather write fantasy novels about her idealized self, "Thundra", but her efforts to sell her tales were unsuccessful. She worked at a dead end job, stocking shelves at a department store under the stern watch of her asshole boss. One day, as she was coming home from work, Rakeema happened upon a huge golden warhammer in the rain. Rakeema picked up the hammer and was struck by lightning, instantly vaporizing her street clothes and transforming her into Thundra! Overjoyed by the power, Rakeema enthusiastically discovered her new superhuman powers: super strength lifting up to 85 tons, a high resistance to injury and flight when holding onto her hammer!The next day at work, Rakeema's overbearing boss finally pushed her too far! Fed up, Rakeema reached into her bag, pulled out her golden hammer and transformed into the naked, seven foot tall Thundra in front of everyone. Her anger and rage getting the best of her, Thundra gleefly destroyed her department store in her violent wrath! She spared the employees and customers, even her terrible boss was left unharmed.Thundra would never transform back to Rakeema again, preferring her Thundra identity. She would live out her fantasy tales in real life, battling supervillains and the forces of evil!
