Banishment (Patreon)

Thousands of years ago...
"I've no choice, but to banish you, Sae. You've served the Everwood well as our general, but your recent actions have given me no choice. Several Orc tribes will band together to burn down our lands if 'Syndori' remains among us. We've been at a fragile peace with the major orc strongholds for hundreds of years. Interfering with them has united them against us, because of a common enemy -- YOU. For the sake of our people, you must leave immediately."
Sae leveled her bright blue eyes at Eruathion, the Wood Elf ruler and silently accepted his judgement. She understood that he was protecting his people, as well as their home. She slowly turned to leave, taking one last look at the eternal splendor of the greenery of the Everwood. Although Sae's people identified themselves as Wood Elves, these particular Elves were more mythical than their brethern; they were immortal--living forever until killed, were far more primal, eschewed unnecessary clothing and lived in harmony with nature. Usually, the meeting clearing was filled with birds, squirrels or the occasional deer, but the denizens of the forest kept their distance this day as if not to support Eruathion's ruling.Faeron, head of one of the top Everwood families, glided over to Sae's side and interjected himself. He stroked his red hair and spoke. "Our dear little 'Syndori' was clearly having too much enjoyment frolicking among humans and dispatching the random orc rabble that she finds. If I may, perhaps I can offer an alternative to banishing Sae? Maybe we can appease these savage beasts by taking 'Syndori' off the battlefield. Remove her blade and let her retake her proper place like a normal elf in these woods." Sae bristled at that comment. She knew all too well his intentions. "You mean my proper place between your legs? I see that schemer Laemira is at your backside now. I can still smell the stench of her all over you." Eruathion struck the end of his staff down on the floor. "Enough talk! My word is law. May the gods watch over you, Sae."
