Waahnubis Update Jan 2023 (Patreon)

Hello there,

Update from my end is a bit shorter than the last time - I also had a bit of a holiday break to recharge and I hope everyone of our supporters also had a good start into the new year.

Currently I’m in “final update” mode of the script for the next release - usually once the renders from Des come in there are minor alterations that need to be done for the script to cater for the visuals or for some last minute ideas that were too good to pass up.

To give you a bit of context - the script for the next release (portions of that you have already seen, talking about the full piece now) has about 17200 words, so checking for consistency and making sure that text and visuals align can be a bit like looking for the needle in a haystack from time to time. Especially if things in the middle need an update and are e.g. referred to at a later stage.

Not complaining, needs to be done and it’s pretty fun to do that (although the amount of work required is unfortunately not always “visible” to everyone). 

Anyway we hope that you enjoy the result and we will continue to strive to make the best game possible.
