One thing I still kinda struggle to do is to take a reference and change multiple aspects of it. for example here I changed the head pose and slightly changed the perspective (to a more distorded/more depth) so that the feet would be "closer".

Usually to make up for it I use multiple references, or modify the reference itself in photoshop (like cutting/resizing things), or using a 3D model to help me get through difficult poses or perspectives.

The harder is the pose, the more times I redraw the same sketch. For this, before drawing the actual sketch I've redrawn it two other times, slowly getting closer to the ideal pose/perspective each time. It's a long process sometimes but it's very much worth to redraw the subject multiple times (for me!).
I've seen this particular process of redrawing the same sketch over and over from many japanese and chinese artists; it kinda stick with me after actually trying it myself. :)

I'm far from drawing "perfect" poses but it is a process I enjoy indeed.

That's pretty nice, it's worth it to tweak it to what you think is the best

Manu stuff

references are so important! sometimes there's a lot of prep work to do before drawing, though. lol it's a very interesting process, just to get prepared to *do* something there's a bit of research, ref gathering, and so on!

Yeah refs definitely help to prevent you from doing some wonky shit 😂
