I'm still thinking about the name, so I've just decided on a title for now!

Maybe “Brunhilda”?

I'll decide once I've drawn Lady Cloven a few more times. Since there isn't much backstory for female Beastmen, I feel like I don't have much to go on. 🤔

That is putting it rather mildy. 😅 As I recall from the last time I read about the Beastmen, females were summarised in a single sentence as "more timid and gentle compared to their male counterparts." Of course, given just how violent that male counterpart is, that statement is fairly open to interpretation, I would say.

Oh, and I should perhaps mention that I quite like this first iteration of yours! While I find the colour scheme to be perhaps a bit more eccentric than I expected, I overall love the the choice of giving her that long, flowing hair. She almost gives me a sort of old Gaelic vibe, which I guess is somewhat fitting given the whole beastly and nature theme. Sadly, I don’t have any ideas for a name myself, although I think it’s fair to say what you do settle on should perhaps take into account her universe. Is this going to be a strictly Warhammer character, or do you wish to adopt her into your own world down the line? If both, then the name should ideally also fit both 🙂 *Edit* Oh, and more thing that came to mind! 😅 One of the gnarlier aspects of the Beastmen design is that they are quite literally half animals; bottom part cloven, upper part man (ish). While I certainly don’t mind this current iteration, I am curious if you ever flirted with the idea of giving her upper half skin, whilst perhaps leaving a tuft of fur around her chest and around her shoulders? I think it would make for some interesting contrast. Sorry, this little observation ended up being a mouthful! All in all, I love the direction, boss—I just figured I’d present some other possible ideas. ❤️

There isn't a lot of lore available regarding female Beastmen. However, from what I know, female Beastmen are timid and docile, so they always stay in hiding. They don't view male Beastmen as protectors—instead, they live in absolute fear of them. Male Beastmen treat females as nothing more than breeding tools, and there are even depictions of males tracking the scent of menstrual blood just to find them. It's a remarkably dark-fantasy take, especially considering they belong to the same species!

For now, they are characters restricted to the Warhammer universe. When I introduce a character into my original universe, I first test whether they can function according to my creative intent even when completely detached from their original lore. That’s why Fleer works, but Thicc-Thicc doesn't! :-D

Saerling

Oof, I hadn’t read about that part. 😥 That definitely fits the bill for Warhammer lore, though!

Looks like Fleer has a fellow survivor of a brutal system. She could still be a medic for said mercenary company I suggested, as a way to avoid being violated or slain.

Well don't forget Beastmen outside of the beastmen codex include snake people, fly people, giraffe people, sloths and many animals. You don't have to go just goat (gor), satyr (ungor), or cow (minotaur). They're just the most common.
